Chapter 25

"If she's jealous, she cares."

Entering the café was Bom, wearing an ivory white crop top with a high waisted canary and hickory plaid skirt with a hair band to push back her bangs. V's jaw nearly dropped until he realised Hyojoo was in front of him. However, he could not take his eyes off of her.

"Do you know her?"

Hyojoo asked, feeling a tinge of anger towards how much attention Bom was attracting from V and how huge the smile on V's face was ever since Bom entered. Before V could even respond, Bom waved to him and he could not help but wave back. The jealousy plan had just started.

"Oh, hi! I'm V's friend! He told me he was going to a book club at this café so I thought I'd tag along since we both love to read books!"

Bom exclaimed, smiling cynically, feeling weirdly angry. She clung onto V and smiled at him, causing him to smile back uncomfortably. No one told him this jealousy plan was going to be this intense.

"Oh, is that so? V did not tell me about you,"

Hyojoo said, glaring at Bom before turning to V and smiling.

"Yeah, we're really close, actually,"

V replied, plastering a smile on his face before laughing awkwardly. However, neither of them replied to him. Both of them were two busy staring each other down. This jealousy plan seemed way to realistic although Bom was just pretending to like V.
V was crying internally, looking around to find the book club members who still have not arrived yet. How long are they going to take? V thought, looking back at Bom and Hyojoo who were still glaring at each other.
Somehow, V felt like Bom seemed way more pissed that Hyojoo. Flames of anger were literally ignited in her eyes as she stared Hyojoo down. Why was Bom acting way more jealous than Hyojoo was? Was she just really good at acting?
