Four years later

I drag my suitcase, heading toward the arrival gate. My flight from Houston, Texas, just landed in New York this afternoon, and I can't wait to see my boyfriend again.

He just got back here from Perth two days ago after attending Melanie's graduation ceremony with his parents, and I still feel guilty that I couldn't join them.

Even though I did call Melanie and congratulate her for completing her bachelor degree, I still wish I had come to Perth.

As soon as I step through the glass door of the arrival gate, I snap my head around, looking for Jake. It's crazy that even though I haven't seen him for only two weeks, it feels like forever.

I miss him so much.

Then I spot him among the crowd -- he looks striking as usual that it's hard to not notice him right away. A smile forms on his lips as he gazes at me, and I rush to him.

"Jake!" I speed up my pace, running to him.

He catches me in his arms, lifts me and gives me multiple kisses on the lips. People start to watch us like we're some kind of romance movie -- do you know the scene where John and Savannah reunite at the airport after he went back from his military service?

Yeah. Something like that.

"God, I miss you so much," he groans into my mouth.

I giggle between our kisses, my arms around his neck. "I miss you more."

Knowing that he still wouldn't stop giving me short kisses all over my face, I pull away.

"Jake." I laugh. "You better put me down before somebody sues us for showing too much PDA."

That makes him growl, but he puts me down nonetheless.

"Okay." He laughs before grabbing my suitcase, and we walk hand in hand toward the parking lot.
