XXXVIII ❥❥❥ Ep11- My Brother is the Main Character

Rein Noir stared at her brother intensely, boring holes behind his dark hair. Her brother had been picking books up, while humming a tune, completely oblivious to his twin's current existential crisis.

The moment she somehow realized that she does in fact live in Lovelorn-verse, and not just any next life she knew she was fucked. Especially if your brother is Luka Noir.

Luka Noir, the main hero of Reverse Lovelorn, the second installation to Lovelorn!

The lack of Good End for Avarys Diatiro's route in Lovelorn [she thinks] was actually a marketing tactic so that people would buy Reverse. Reverse was more of a grinding game than an otome game for that matter, and you could choose which character you could start as. Either Luka Noir or Marilyn Cache. By grinding game she really means it, because the rivals and the enemies they would encounter post-academy were no joke. Lovelorn was the otomegame while in Reverse, its more of an rpg and the otome game was just underlining it.

So Rein is really confused right now. They were all in first year, and this should be Lovelorn, but there was no Marilyn Cache!

And her brother, Luka Noir was supposed to be a dark mage!

Which he isn't!

See, Rein had been happy when she enrolled to Gardenia Academy. She thought she could spectate. Spectate and guide her twin brother like a fairy god mother. She'd get to see Andrew Skotadi, who was literally cooler in real life and all her favorite characters. She could even gently nudge Luka toward the Clara Skotadi route, which was the best option for Reverse in her opinion.

But!

Everything started to feel wrong. Sure she would never actually get to meet the oldbloods like Clara or Elena for that matter, but she saw Elena during the initiation. Elena was still the poster perfect girl that Adrien Rosemond seems to never notice. She thought that ah, she was really in the game even when Lovelorn or Lovelorn Reverse did not feature an initiation. Plus, there was no Marilyn Cache but there is Luka Noir, so Rein concluded that they are probably in Reverse Lovelorn.

She's also shocked to know that they're distantly related to Lyra DelaCroix. Lyra, the rival in Aristotle Oriel's route for Lovelorn. She's not a capture character in Reverse though, since she's their cousin. Lyra serves more like a tutorial guide if ever the player chooses the Luka Noir character.

"Are you sure you're feeling alright Rein?" Luka asked her, a bit unsure. Her brother usually looks at her as if she has a screw loose, and he just learned to live with it.

"Are you sure you're really not a dark mage?" Rein asked back. Being a dark mage, as a main hero to boot, has literally shocked the entire Lovelorn fanbase when he revealed it at the Clara Skotadi route. And frankly that was Rein's favorite route. Even when everyone hated Clara in Lovelorn, her character was given justice in Reverse!

"Please don't accuse me of treason in broad daylight." Luka muttered, while finally finding a seat in the library. Luka Noir, like a main hero, is a diligent and upstanding student. He also picks things up faster than Rein ever could. "Aren't we here to finish our homeworks? Stop daydreaming."

"I'm not daydreaming. Your sister here could actually see the future." She proclaimed proudly.

"...... sure." He said in a voice so unsure. Luka was probably used to her weird antics. He reached a level of tolerance in which Rein could be fangirling in front of him over Andrew [see Chapter 37] and he would not even bat an eye. Rein even mentally melted when she saw Luka talking to — Clara of all people in Gardening Class and Luka only classified that as her overreacting. When in all guidebooks Rein was so sure Clara never entered Gardening Class. It was also revealed in Reverse that Clara likes baking and is actually quite good at it so if she were to choose an elective, Rein was so sure it would be something related to that.
