Hiding in the shadows
Can’t believe what he’s seeing
Thinking, “Has she let me go?”
He readied his lonely heart
Before he comes to this place
To be strong enough to see
His darling crying in pain
But the sight of the two
Walking side by side
Laughing together
Caught him by surprise
Incredulous, he stands
Frozen in his place
To see her with another
He’s not yet prepared
But the sad truth slapped him
Who is he to complain?
He’s the one who left her
In a very painful way
Not explaining a thing
He left her with no clue
Before parting, he said
He never loved her true.
