By the end of the week we had everything well prepared for the party. The food, the drinks and no one had cancelled so far. I was pretty much satisfied with our work.

"Okay, thank you so much, Soo", I thanked her for the millionth time and she laughed, "talk to you later."

Suddenly a thought crossed my mind.  Eun! We were supposed to see each other next week, but I should have thought of inviting her to my birthday. Maybe she still has time on short notice.

Now everything was organized. There was nothing that could come into my way now. I still felt pretty nervous though. Hopefully everything would work out.

I got up early on Saturday to prepare the snacks for the evening and put them into the fridge.

By the time I was finished my family was up and we had breakfast together. They all wished me a happy birthday and I unwrapped my presents with them in the living room.

My mum even made a cake for me and I couldn't be happier. Sometimes I forgot how lucky I got with my family.

When Soojung rang the door my parents left the house to drop off Wook at his friend's house and then go over to Soo Ah.

Soojung and I went up into my room to change before we set up the drinks for the party. We closed the curtains of my room giggling to make sure that Jungkook wouldn't stalk us while getting ready.

We turned the music up loudly in my room and tried on outfit after outfit until we found the right one to wear. Well, she didn't leave me much of a choice.

"Okay, Y/N", Soojung said smirking sheepishly, "YOU are the star of the party so YOU have to wear the hottest outfit."

"What?!", I asked laughing in disbelief, "you never change, do you? But I don't want to run around like a whore, okay?"

"Of course", she said rolling her eyes and pulled a dress off a hanger in the back of my wardrobe, "this is it."

"Hm, I don't know", I said looking a it critically, "I haven't worn this in years because it never fitted me properly. It was so loose around my chest."

It was a delicate pink dress with a round neckline and spaghetti straps. The fabric on the back was replaced by intersecting strings which were tied together.

"When was the last time you tried it on?", she asked reproachfully.

"When I was 14...", I mumbled and she rolled her eyes again. "Then it will fit perfectly now, sweetie", she said handing it to you.

"Fine", I groaned and walked into the bathroom. I tried it on and looked at myself in the room. Of course, Soo was right. It hugged my body perfectly and the colour complimented my skin tone.

The only thing that bothered me a bit was that it didn't reach down to my knees as it used to when I was 14 but only to the middle of my thighs.

I walked back into my room and Soo gasped theatrically.

"I-" "Don't say 'I told you so'", I cut her off before she could say it, "it's so short."

"It's perfect, honey", she said winking and opened the drapes now that we were done changing and only had to put on make up.

Finally, at 7pm, we were finished and the first guests arrived. There were so many that I didn't manage to say hi to everyone who came.

I even missed it when Jimin arrived because Eun came before him and the most important thing in that moment was that we needed to catch up very badly.

"Euun!", I squealed happily and we hugged each other tightly, "I missed you so much."

"Oh God, Y/N. I missed you too", she mumbled in my neck, "you look so different- but so gorgeous!"

"Thank you so much", I said tearing up a little, "come on, give me your jacket. There's so much I need to tell you."

"Are you sure? Because, you know, this is your party and I don't want you to miss out on something", she said shyly.

"We'll be fine", I said laughing pulling her to a more silent corner where we could talk in peace, "the party has just started. It will take some time until everyone will be drunk and the fun begins."

"Wow, you really have changed. You never talked like that", she noticed surprised.

"Yea, I know", I said sighing, "but you'll understand as soon as I tell you the whole story."

"Okay, I'm listening", she said winking. "I try to make it quick", I said looking around if anyone was listening who shouldn't, "but first I have to tell you about Jungkook."

"Wait, you mean Jeon Jungkook?", she asked shocked. "Yea, why- how do you know him?", I asked confused.

"Didn't you tell me about him already?", she asked and I noticed how her ears turned a bit red.

"Maybe I did. He was my crush two years ago, remember?", I explained and she nodded quickly, "so, this crazy thing happened..."

And so I told her the quick version of what has happened between me and Jungkook, who my new friends were and about all my ex boyfriends. And I also told her about Jimin.

"Wow, that really is a crazy story", she said sipping on her drink, "and how do you feel now?"

"That's a good questions", I said and noticed that my cup was empty, "I really like Jimin and I know that he's good for me. But... I-I love Jungkook. I never loved someone like I love him. But the only thing he ever did was hurt me, you know.."

"Hey, it's okay, really", she said stroking my arm, "you know what? It's your birthday. You should enjoy it and think about everything else tomorrow. Come on, let's get you another drink."

"Yes, you're right. Thank you, Eun", I said looking around and laughed, "look at all them getting drunk without me. I need to catch up."

We got up and walked into the kitchen to refill our cups. "I'll introduce you to my friends if I'll see any of them", I said trying to spot any of them but there was no one around.

"I'd like to make a toast", she said laughing and raised her cup, "to you, happy birthday! Bottoms up!"

I laughed and put the cup to my lips downing everything in one go. We laughed and immediately got another drink.

Unfortunately, I didn't have much for dinner and the alcohol showed quick effect. At the time I noticed Jimin walking towards me, I was a giggling hot mess.
