DISCLAIMER: This is not a part of "The Queen and Her King", but a preview to my next book :)

I stepped out of the horse-drawn carriage in absolute awe, I could not stop looking around even if I wanted to. It was all so different then what I'm used to in the most beautiful way! It was just like I imagined it and so much more, the building looked so intriguing, like it had stories to tell all by itself. I completely ignored my bags being unpacked and handed to me as I stared up at the odd statue in front of the building, it looked like a glorified dog with a suit on... odd. The greenery alone was flourishing and bright, there was a slight audience as I arrived but I paid them no mind as I stared at my dream school in front of me,

"Hello! Welcome Princess Elena, it's a pleasure to finally meet you!"

I heard a cheery voice shout. I refocused my vision ahead to see an equally as cheery looking chap with a royal blue suit coming my way. He had a girl on his arm wearing a pastel purple short dress, she looks nice. Her hair was interesting, blonde with purple tips... not sure how I feel about that for her but that's alright. I smiled at him and set down one of my bags to shake his hand as they came up to me,

"Hello! You must be King Ben"

I said with a very giddy tone as I shook his hand. He nodded and excitedly looked over to the girl on his arm,

"I am! And this is my girlfriend Mal, welcome to Auradon Prep!"

I looked over to her with a smile that she quickly returned before holding her hand out to me to shake her hand which is exactly what I did,

"Hey"

Was all she said, alright she seems a little... distant. That's alright, maybe she's not too socially gifted, well I'm not either so that's perfectly fine!

"This place is... amazing!"

I said with that same giddy smile. He chuckled and moved to the side and took my bags from me, how lovely! Is everyone this nice here? Wow, who knew the real world was so friendly! I kept my bag of precious keepsakes with me though, I don't want anyone else having that,

"We can give you a quick tour if you'd like, and Mal can show you to your room. For now, we'll have you share with Mal and her friend Evie, your arrival was slightly unexpected so we had to scramble a little"

I politely nodded to the suggestion and looked around a little more before we would be heading in. I looked out onto the broad and impressive ocean that Auradon Prep looked out onto. I noticed a little island in the distance, it piqued my interest that's for sure. I tilted my head some at the odd-looking place from afar,

"What's that over there?"

I curiously asked. Mal looked off to the island longingly while Ben easily answered,

"Oh that's the Isle of the Lost, never heard of it?"

I slowly shook my head and furrowed my brow at the odd name. I should say dramatic name actually, I would love to know why it's called that exactly,

"The Isle of the Lost is simply a place where all the villains have been banished"

Ben said nonchalantly. But that didn't seem like something that should be mentioned nonchalantly to be fair. It sounds like a huge deal... all the villains? Like... every single one?

"And their children, actually I'm Maleficent's daughter, there's a program in place to help their children get off the Isle since they're currently serving a sentence while being innocent"

I guess I'm a little sheltered because I don't know much about Maleficent, all I know is that she's bad. I looked over to her with a smile and tilted my head a little at her,
