20: Bleeding To Your Death

You look at the three boys in confusion.

Inosuke and Zenitsu were just staring at Tanjiro with sympathy and realization.

Inosuke and Tanjiro had stopped trying to get at each other's throats. Zenitsu stopped trying to force Inosuke away, and you loosen your hold on Tanjiro, but you didn't pull away in case they were to start up again.

"I wanted to kiss her first..." Tanjiro trails off.

Crap, he can feel the tears starting to fall. This was so embarrassing, and humiliating, and shameful.

Did Tanjiro really punch one of his best friends, then proceed to degrade him because he kissed the girl he liked? Tanjiro didn't even know he himself liked you until Inosuke did what he did. Tanjiro just thought these strong feelings were nothing to think about. He always had an excuse for all his actions though, didn't he?

Tanjiro always wanted you by his side because you didn't know any Japanese. (He didn't like when you were so far away.)

Tanjiro always sat close to you because he didn't want you to feel lonely. (He really loved your warmth and your smell.)

Tanjiro would always look at you because he thought you were just so beautiful.

So beautiful.

You were so beautiful, was it because you were forgein? Tanjiro can't help but just stare at you whenever you two were hanging out with each other. Your voice was so soft and you never tried to hide your emotions when you would talk. Your face would emote along with whatever you spoke about and it was so endearing to watch. The corner of your eyes would wrinkle and bright up when they would do anything amusing to you. It made him smile when seeing you happy.

You're cute.

Your little quirks were so cute and funny! The way you would wave your arms frantically in the air when you were flustered. The way you would just burst into song and dance at random; your dances were so funny to watch! The really weird thing you would do whenever either Tanjiro, or Inosuke, or Zenitsu would do something that would be "stupid". You would scream, "Vibe Check!" then proceed to hit them, it would immediately change their attitude.

You are so intelligent.

It would always amaze Tanjiro how you were able to learn so quickly. And how much you knew about the world and the universe! It must because you were from the future, that you learned everything they haven't discovered yet. You knew a lot about how to help out Inosuke whenever he was in one of his worst moods. You were book smart and you knew a lot about psychology too, it was so attractive!

You're kind.

Tanjiro is so enthralled by the fact that you were so kind, and caring, and considerate. You always tend to put others above all other priorities in your life and yourself. Inosuke had told him about how on Mt. Natagumo, you were so worried about him, even though you were crying and in so much pain. And even after Rehabilitation Training, you made sure Inosuke and him were settled in and comfortable first before taking care of yourself. And, as nice as you are, you were too smart to fall victim of being taken advantage of.

You are so understanding.

You're so creative.

You're so bright.

You're so strong.

You're so amazing.

You're so wonderful.

You are so lovely.

And you are everything Tanjiro could ever want in a partner.

And Inosuke kissed you first.
