Mr. Kim keeps skimming over the resume on his desk, while continuing with his interview of the man sitting in front of him. "You joined the army right after high school?"

The young man sits up with his hands on his lap. "Yes, sir I did. I had ambitions to join business school, but my family was broke at the time, but I knew I needed to do something with my life. Serving is mandatory in this country, so I thought I would start early. I  ended up enjoying my time there, and I decided to stay after my two years were up."

Mr. Kim nods slowly as he puts the resume down. "I must admit that your list of accomplishments is quite impressive for someone your age. I have never met anyone who ranked up to Lieutenant at a young age. You seemed to be in a good position there, so why did you leave?"

The young man's hands twitched at the question, but his posture kept showing confidence. "My men and I were hijacked as we were coming back to our base. We were shot at and I almost lost my life that day. Several bullets broke right through my rib cage and one punctured my lung. The bones broken were basically useless, and the doctors had to fix the fractures with metal. Once the news reached my mother, she basically ordered for me to take the leave the government offered so I did," he explained.

Mr. Kim chuckled at the last statement. "I understand you completely. I remember when my sons both enlisted. They did so at the same time, so you can imagine how my wife went crazy when she saw them go." Mr. Kim closes the file in his hand and starts sliding it back to the possible candidate. "Listen, I normally wouldn't hire someone so young, but you are more than qualified to look after my youngest son," suddenly the businessman's eyes narrow as he leans forward and his demeaner takes a turn as if he could kill someone. "This is my only warning. You are responsible not only for his safety, but his image. Seokjin tends to be a wild card. He's brought me too many scandals that require to be covered up. If anything happens to my son or if he gets in any sort of trouble on your watch, I will not hesitate to kill you. Am I making myself clear."

The then 26-year-old young man continues sitting up with the same unbothered look on his face as if his life had not just been threatened. "I completely understand, sir. I look forward to working with you and your son to ensure his safety," he says as he reaches a hand out for the businessman to shake. The serious tone in the room does not last long as the office door is thrown open and a raging younger Kim storms in.

"You have to be kidding. You hired another babysitter for me!" his yells echo throughout the wall of his father's office, and the new employee rolls his eyes as he starts to realize its one of 'those rich spoiled brats', but he freezes as soon as he turns around and sees the man standing in front of him. Tall slender figure, nice long legs that round slightly around his thighs curving into a small waist which trails up to meet broad shoulders leading to a long luscious neck and his mind turns into a jumbled mess once he takes in the man's face. Completely symmetrical as if it had taken someone years to form into perfection. His eyes land on the plumpest lips he had ever seen. The kind you can fall asleep on as they resemble pillows, and he sees as those soft pillows slowly turn into a smirk. "This is going to be too easy," the younger Kim says snapping him out of his thoughts. "He won't even last half the time the last guy did before trying to get into my pants."

Mr. Kim shakes his head, disappointed in his son's words as he pushes his new employee in encouragement. "This is my son, and the one you will be in charge of, Kim Seokjin. He has a big mouth and an even bigger attitude. Good luck," he says followed by a small "you're gonna need it," afterwards.

The young man composes himself and tells himself it's just the initial shock due to by how handsome Mr. Seokjin is and nothing more. He pulls his hand out and Seokjin shakes it briefly. "I'm going to have fun getting on your nerves until you quit," Seokjin says.

"It is nice to meet you, Mr. Seokjin. I look forward to ensuring your safety," the new employee replies with a respectful bow. He looks up at the brat's unbothered face, and decides that this job might just be harder than he thought. But he always liked a challenge. "I'm Kim Taehyung."

Present Day

Namjoon knocks softly on the door before entering with caution. Just as he guessed, his baby brother is still in bed facing away from him in the fetal position. The constant sniffling and stuttering of his shoulders signals that he's awake. Namjoon feels a slight pang of fear at the possibility that he never fell asleep to begin with. With slow careful steps he walks up to his brother's bed and gets under the covers next to him. He wraps his arms around his grieving brother and puts a hand over his that is resting on his belly. "Seokjin, we have to go soon if we're going to make it in time," he says with the softest tone he has ever used.

There's a small gasp and Seokjin slowly sits up at the edge of his bed looking at the black suit that has been tauntingly staring back at him all morning. "I don't want to go," his voice raspy, barely able to be heard. "Going makes it all feel too real, and I don't want it to be," he says shaking his head as a new set of tears trail down his face once again.

Namjoon takes him in his arms once again and cradles his brother in his lap as if he were a baby. "I know this is killing you, but his fate won't change if you don't go. He would not want to see you like this, Seokjin."

With one more swipe of his tears Seokjin gets up and walk towards the dreaded suit. "Fine, I'll go. But please don't make me get down from the car. I don't think I can take seeing him like that," he pleads. Namjoon nods slightly and walks out of the room to give Seokjin time to get ready.

Sitting through the memorial was one thing but seeing their friend placed in the back of a Hearse headed to the mausoleum was brutal to the group of friends who had to watch one of their own leave them. Jungkook had to drag Jimin to sit down as his body is still healing from the miscarriage and all the emotional stress keeps adding to the strain.

Yoongi's line of sight shifts to the vehicle where Seokjin is sitting and his heart clenches in pain as he sees his friend crying inconsolably with his hand pressed against the window as he watches the coffin being loaded on the hearse. His breaths get deeper and deeper as he tries to keep himself from crying, but its of no use as tears fall down his face, anyways. He feels a pull in his body then arms wrap around him and a chin rests on top of his head. He looks up to see Namjoon looking at him in sympathy. "We should have done more," he whimpers.

"We did all we could. Now we just have to be here for my brother, for Jimin, and for Jungkook," Namjoon replies placing a small kiss on his bodyguard's forehead.

From inside the car Seokjin continues to weep as his hands wrap around his stomach. "Please come back," he whispers helplessly into the emptiness of the car begging for the one he loves to hear him as his heart continues to break.
