The Avengers, Steve's Little Secret

Ch. 18 "Father Bucky"

                                                 Bucky POV 

Steve went to get some medicine from Bruce, Mean while I stayed with Brooke, dabbing her forehead with a wet cloth, 

This is different from your typical fever, The way she is sweating, the entire team is a wreck because of this, 

I on the other hand are a mess, over the past months I've gotten to know this little one, I've grown so attached to her, 

Yeah, she's not my kid, but she remind me of that punk when he was young, 

And she's just the sweetest little thing, I thought 

Steve burst through the door, 

"How's she doing?' He said 

"Her fever is rising," I said 

He nodded 

"Bruce gave me some medicine," He said 

Steve was just a mess because of this, 

"Little Star wake up you have to take your medicine," Steve said softly as he shook her lightly 

Brooke let out a painful groan, 

Cracking her eyes open, those baby blue eyes you could see for miles, 

Steve had liquid in a little disposable cup, 

She drank it up groaned because I'm assuming it tasted horrible, 

"Good girl," I said brushing some of her sweaty hair from her forehead, 

                                      Brooke POV 

I was laying in the bed in pain going in and out of consciousness for days,  but soon enough I was starting to feel better, 

My eyes slowly flutter open, sunlight peeking through the curtains, 

Daddy was sleeping next to the bed, and right beside him was Bucky, 

"Daddy?" I said with a raspy voice 

Daddy shot up out of his seat, 

"Brooke," He said Bucky also sat up, 

Daddy put his hand on my forehead, 

Daddy let out a sigh of relief, 

"Her fever broke," He said 

Bucky also put his hand on my forehead, 

"Thank god, you had us worried squirt," Bucky said 

"I'm sorry," I said with raspy voice 

I sat up, 

"Easy squirt you need to take it easy just because your fever broke doesn't mean your at 100%" Bucky said 

Daddy nodded, 

Lately Bucky has been acting like Daddy, very protective, helping me with bad boo boo's I thought 

But I like it, Daddy seems to be happy when he's with Bucky and I don't mind that he doesn't look sad like he used to when we would look at old photo's or when I would ask him stories about how he met Bucky 

He's happy when Bucky is around and so am I 

"You think you could keep some soup down?" Bucky asked 

I nodded 

"Alright I'll be back," Bucky said kissing my forehead and left, 

Daddy picked me up, and rubbed my back as I clung to him, 

"You had me worried my little Star," He said 

"I'm sorry Daddy," I mumbled I held onto him like he was going to disappear 

Then I felt my eyelids slowly flutter shut, I hope we can all be happy now that daddy is happy I thought as I let sleep take me one last time
