Levi x Reader - Her Reckless Behaviour 2

I'm almost at the door to leave the building when I see Erwin talking to Levi in the hallway. He glances over at me then looks back at Erwin. Before looking back over at me again. I drop my head trying to avoid eye-contact before heading out. It's a cloudy dark day and the air is crisp. Nobody seems to be outside so I grab my ODM gear and run towards the forest. Once close enough to the trees I switch to the gear.  

The cold air feels refreshing as I fly past the trees without a care. So this is what birds feel like huh...that would be nice. I let myself fall and fly sometimes aiming and shooting the hooks at the last minute. I land on a tree branch and lookup feeling a drizzle starting. I close my eyes and let the tiny droplets fall on my face as I let out a sigh. Opening my eyes I squint up at the top of the trees. 

"I wonder," I whisper to myself before shooting the hooks as far up the tree as I can. Propelling myself out of the forest. I'm left floating and for a second everything feels slow as I can see the building on one side and Tin on the other. Closing my eyes as I start falling back into the forest. Tilting my body slightly so I'm laying the cold rainwater starting to fall faster. Instead of going back to HQ, I decide it's better if I go to where Tin is. I quickly make my way there the rain no longer a drizzle. 

I walk into what I like to call Hange's lair. This is where she does all her tests on titans and I make sure not to touch anything as I don't want to turn into one. I head to her office hoping she leaves it unlocked, nope. I then make my way to where I woke up when Tin basically broke my body. This will do I guess. I remove my ODM gear and set my jacket out to dry along with my cape. I remove my boots and sit on the couch that's in the corner, my knees up to my chest. 

Was it actually Thea? Am I okay? Did I overreact? Was Levi...I shake my head in hopes it'll shake my thoughts. I then stand up and start pacing unsure of what happened and how to deal with it.

"Shit shit shit," I mutter to myself.

I slide down the corner of the room, sitting on the floor my hands on my head. Letting the sound of the rain on the window fill the room. As I focus on my breathing my mind is clear for a second until I hear something. I open my eyes quickly lunging towards my ODM gear. I grab a blade and aim it at the sound. There's no one here, I think to myself, you're going crazy. 

"Don't worry it's just me," 

Thea appears in front of me and I clench my jaw. "What do you want?" 

"It's okay I won't hurt you," she raises her hands, "I just wanted to apologize," 

"Yeah right,"

"No really, it's not fair,"

"I'm supposed to believe you've had a change of heart?"

"No...I just..." She looks away, "I'm really just trying to help you guys out,"

"How was what happened helping us out?"

"I was mad okay?" I roll my eyes, scoffing at her remark, "Look...I just I need to make sure Tin is okay," 

"How do you know Tin?"

"Childhood friends...Just listen okay? Noah told me what you guys need...I think I can help. We need you to come back though. So we can figure out what to do," and just as she appeared she disappears.

I let my blade fall out of my hand as I brush my hair back. Making my way towards the couch I rest my head on my knees as I look out the window. I'll wait for the rain to stop. 

The day continues to be cloudy as I leave the building. My jacket and cape still damp. Once I get to the forest I walk for most of the way before using my ODM gear. Once back I quickly head to my room to remove my wet clothes and replace them with dry ones. 

"That's much better," I whisper to myself. I stop in the doorframe of the bathroom as the earlier events play again in my mind. Squeezing my eyes shut and opening them to my empty room. Realizing that it's been cleaned and my bed's been made. Is this my room? I think to myself as I look for something that is mine. A sigh of relief escapes my mouth once I find a pair of earrings on my desk. 

A sneeze interrupts me as I go to open the door, "Oh shit," as I notice my stuffy nose. Quickly I make my way towards the cafeteria to see if there's any tea. Luckily there's some left. I grab a cup before making my way back down to the cellar. Once down the steps, I walk slowly to the room letting the steam hit my face before taking a sip.

Once at the door to Thea's room I inhale before opening it, everyone turns to look at me and I quickly scan the room. Hange and Levi on one side and Eren and Noah on the other. I drop my head and stand next to Eren.

"Is that tea?" he whispers and I nod my head.

"I was cold and wet, and now I might have a cold," 

"That's what you get," Noah whispers I ignore his remark as a shiver shoots up my spine making my body twitch. Noah and Eren look over at me before looking at each other and letting out a short laugh. 

"Shut up," I whisper taking a sip from my tea. 

"So Thea, how do you think you can help?" Hange interrupts as Eren and Noah quietly try to silence themselves.

"You guys need to give Tin something right?" Hange nods, "I think I might know where to find what you need," 

"Well we need a book right?" I mention, my body slightly shaking as I get colder and Eren and Noah continue to contain their laughter.

"(y/n), would you like my jacket?" Levi asks 

"I'm fine," I take another sip of tea

"(y/n),"

"I said I'm fine," I give him a quick glare before looking back at Hange and Thea.

"I know where the book is," Thea looks up at us and Hange's eyes widen.

"Amazing! Where is it!" 

"I can take you to it,"

"Just tell us where it is," Noah sounds annoyed as he looks over at Thea.

Once we have the information, we leave the cellar leaving Hange, Thea, and Levi alone. Noah, Eren, and I decide to grab some lunch. We have our usual banter with the others at lunch before Erwin and Levi walk in. They explain our mission and how it's a very important one that can potentially get us another titan on our side. The cadets silently exclaim their concerns as they explain the plan before leaving the cafeteria. The whole time I keep my head down to avoid eye-contact with the Captain.

"Well you guys, I think I'm going to go," I get up from the table waving at the others before leaving to go to my room, I could really use a nap right now.

Removing my boots and jacket I fall onto my bed snuggling in my sheets letting my body warm myself up before dozing off.
