"What do you think is going to happen tomorrow?" She asked, sinking further down into her space under Taehyung's arm. They had been sitting in his room for a while now, and she was content to just be next to him while he read, but the impending escape plan was looming at the edges of her mind, finally driving her to interrupt. It had been another two weeks, and all their work was about to come to fruition. Hoseok had found their decoys, Jimin dealt with their escape route, and Namjoon was coordinating everything. It was supposed to go smoothly, but...

"I'm sure it'll be fine." He reassured her, closing the novel and turning so that he could put an arm behind her to run his fingers down her spine, trying to be comforting. "Once we're out, I'll take you far away. We can have a nice little house, and maybe a pet. We can see everything, and all the guys will be around, too."

"What if something happens? Someone could get hurt."

"You're not going to get hurt," he said, "I promise. I'll be right there to protect you." Her face grew hot as he said this, residual embarrassment washing over her.

"I don't need protecting." She muttered under her breath.

"I know." He pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. "Now just lay down and try to go to sleep. We have a big morning."

"What about you?" She asked, trying to hold back a yawn, but ending up pausing to let it out, "You should sleep, too."

"I want to finish this chapter. Just close your eyes." She was too tired to argue, so, laying her head on his chest, she drifted off to the rhythm of his heartbeat. It wasn't long after that Namjoon walked into Taehyung's room. As the leader of the whole operation, it made sense that he would be the one to come talk to them, but it still felt awkward. He had mostly gone back to normal since that day in the cafeteria, but he was still a bit stiff around everyone else. It almost broke her heart to see him draw away from her, especially after starting out so kind, but she hadn't said anything. Looking in, as much as it pained him to see her hugging at Taehyung's body, he'd rather not have to face her while she was awake.

"Taehyung. I wanted to make sure you're ready. You're the first shift." Taehyung nodded. They didn't really have alarm clocks, and although Hoseok had offered to try and rig one out of a regular clock and a couple spoons, Namjoon opted for the safer route. They would take turns getting up to count the hours, that way everyone would get a decent amount of sleep, but they wouldn't miss their plan. Taehyung was going to stay up from 9-10, then Yoongi from 10-11, Hoseok from 11-12, Jimin from 12-1, Jin from 1-2, Jungkook from 2-3, and finally, Namjoon would get everything ready and wake the whole group back up somewhere between 3 and 4 to put their plan in action. They hadn't actually told Y/N about this, worried that she may want to be one of the people to stay up. Although most of them argued that she should be involved, Taehyung, Namjoon, and surprisingly Jimin all decided to leave her out of it.

The plan, all laid out, went basically like this: Once Namjoon was up, he would go and get their decoy group ready to go. As they were preparing, he'd return, getting the real escapees together, then bring everyone into the cafeteria. At his signal, the decoy group would storm the front, while they scaled the back courtyard wall, already prepared by Hoseok and Jungkook. If all went as plans, the guards would be busy in the front, and they could scale the second fence, the one with the barbed wire, by climbing the links and throwing pre-prepared leather onto the dangerous areas, tearing off into the woods.

This is why Taehyung had wanted Y/N to fall asleep, unaware of everything except their actual escape. As nonchalant as he'd seemed before, he really wasn't sure how well this would go over. There was a lot that could go wrong- the decoy group could figure out their intentions and turn, they may not be able to get over one of the barriers, or the guards could be better coordinated than they'd expected. Still, he trusted Namjoon, and he was going to do his best.
