          sᴇʟғʟᴇss ᴘᴇᴏᴘʟᴇ—ɪ ᴅᴇsᴘɪsᴇ

   to fall into oblivion
   locked in a chest
   as you held the key
   concealing me from mischiefs
and negativity the society has to offer

   you showered me with attention
as you embraced me with affection
   using yourself as my shelter
a defense from their every strike

   from your tenderness
   i bloomed like no other
   the sacrifices you made
has pushed me to my limits
   to strengthen my sheets
and fill my pen with inks of blood

   seeing you enduring
i was forced my way to reality
to see you on your knees
   i have had enough

now fall—fall right into my arms

   come into my division
   entrust me with your burdens
allow my ink to solace your soul
and let my pages bandage your wounds

my words shall be your blanket
as i encase you in my arms
   to protect and ease you
   i vow to carry out

   you have done everything
now rest and lay your head on my shoulder
   as I return the favor
