3rd Person POV
Her mind told her she was getting closer as soon as the train pulled up to the station in National City. "Find the Girl of Steel. Find the Girl of Steel." she repeats her orders over and over again in her head
Willow Greene pushes her glasses onto the top of her head to hold it in place as her piercing green eyes look through her camera lens. She focuses on the train station and snaps a picture
The girl had been anxious the entire train ride because she was nervous to return to National City. Secretly, the green eyed girl had been to the city a year and a half earlier, but she had had a horrible experience. Because of who she is and what runs through her veins, Willow had been used as a weapon against the very person she was tasked to protect
It had taken a lot of nerve for Willow to take up her mission again and return to National City...well a lot of nerve and forced orders since this wasn't exactly her first choice. Willow would have preferred to stay in small town Delaware after returning severely injured and drained last time she went to National City, but her superior had forced her to retake the mission and this time she was not to fail
This mission had four parts: blend in, get in, and stay in. And the obvious part: protect
The Girl of Steel had to be protected...but how can someone be protected by their one weakness? That was the one part of the puzzle Willow didn't understand, but that didn't matter right now because the train was pulling into the station
The train slows to a stop and Willow puts her camera strap back around her neck and pulls her glasses back down
"Last stop: National City, California." A voice says over the speakers
Willow sighs in relief, finally she was here. It was a long trip from Delaware, but her orders told her to go here, and she follows orders
Willow gets out of her seat and tucks her long light brown hair behind her ear as she bends down to grab her backpack from under her seat. After shouldering her backpack, she reaches up and grabs her suitcase in the holder above, pulling it off the rack and putting it down next to her. She reaches back up on the rack and pulls her skateboard down, her mode of transportation for the next little while
Willow walks through the doors of the train and onto the platform and looks around, breathing out again in relief and she smiles
'This time will be better...I hope...' Willow thinks to herself
She looks down at her watch: 6:00 a.m.
After catching a cab and being dropped off at a building, Willow goes up 2 flights of stairs and opens the door to her new apartment for the foreseeable future. The place was simple with a kitchen, a bathroom, a small bedroom, and a couch. Willow smiles: she liked simple
Willow closes the door behind her and goes to the bathroom to get ready for the day
After she was showered and dressed into a simple pastel yellow dress that complimented her freckles and her naturally loosely curled light brown hair, she puts on a pair of black leggings along with a pair of her black converses. She ties her hair into a low loose ponytail to keep it out of the way while she skateboards to work
Willow remains in the bathroom for a moment and stares at the mirror
She lifts her right hand up in front of her and green wisps dance across her fingers as she stares at them
