Baseball power outage

A Green Hills baseball game was taking place and Sonic decided to stop by and check it out. He watched as the batter scored a home run and the entire team came to congratulate him. As night time came around, he had the field all to himself

Sonic: ah, so cool

Then he noticed some equipment sitting on the side of the field and he decided to create his own game...technically using himself to play as a pitcher, batter, umpire, and outfielders

Batter: bottom of the ninth, tie score and exactly who you wanted at the plate with the game on the line is Sonic

Pitcher: but staring him down from the pitcher's mound is the most fearsome southpaw in Green Hills, also Sonic

Batter: ok focus Sonic. If you win this game, you'll be the most beloved kid in Green Hills

First baseman: hit it to the guy in left, he's a real spacecase

The third baseman was standing there in a daze, chewing on bubble gum

Pitcher: ugh, I can't with that guy

Catcher: hey batter Sonic, hey batter Sonic, swing batter Sonic

As Sonic pitches the ball, he strikes it with the bat, sending in high in the air

Outfielder: I got it, I got it, I got it....I don't got it

He runs around the field while the outfielder try to strike him out but he manages to reach home plate

Sonic: oh yes, I did it. Did you see that, I did it

He raises a hand waiting for a high five until he realizes that nobody was around

Sonic: I really am alone, all alone forever

As he runs around the field in sadness, his body starts glowing blue until eventually, blue electricity was sent flying off his body and knocking out power across the entire town

Sonic: I'm sure no one noticed that giant blue explosion right

Tom was at home trying to figure out what happened to the power until he got a call from Wade

Tom: hey Wade

Wade: hi Tom, Wade here. What is going on?

Tom: I think the power's out

Wade: the lights are out, the whole town is freaking out, what should I do?

Tom: ok relax, take a deep breath, call Gill and see if they can locate the down line then call him and see if he can get his generator over to the Super Q so the food stays fresh

Tom's thoughts were interrupted when Sonic's quill started glowing

Tom: I'll call you back

Wade: wait hello, was that the end of the instructions?

Wade was stuck at the police station to deal with tons of calls from the town

Y/N: dad

Tom: yes Y/N

Y/N: what happened to the power, it woke me up and now I'm concerned

Tom: relax honey, I'm sure it's nothing bad

Y/N: nothing bad? I looked outside and the entire town looks like it lost power, and also- *looks at the quill* what is that

Tom: what's what

Y/N: *grabs the quill*

Tom: hey, give that back

Y/N: what is this, where did you even get it from

Tom: I...I found in a bush yesterday during work, it's nothing to worry about. Now can you please give it back

Y/N: if it's nothing to worry about then why do you still have

Tom: don't worry about ok

Y/N: is it the reason why we lost power

Tom: I said don't worry about it!

Y/N became shocked at her father's sudden outburst

Tom: look honey, I'm sorry, I have no idea what this thing is but I have a lot of problems on me right now. I have Wade calling me telling me that the whole town is freaking out. Just try and go back to sleep while I figure this out

Y/N: ok dad

She heads back upstairs to bed while Tom tries to sort out the power issue. Meanwhile, government officials were trying to figure out what caused the sudden loss of power across the town
