Caitlin lay on her bed and groaned. She had a date with Barry. Barry! How had this happened? How had he managed it? Caitlin knew she should ring Barry and cancel, but he would see right through it. Caitlins phone rang, zapping her from her thoughts

"Barry, if your ringing to cancel it's ok"

"What no? I'm just asking if you prefer roses or daffodils?"

"Huh?"

"First date, I can't show up empty handed"

"Roses"

"Thank you"

"Now if that's all, can I go now?"

"Wait"

"What?"

"Check your phone."

"Why?"

"I've sent you pictures of two suits. Which one do you prefer?"

"Are you kidding me? Your seriously asking the girl your about to go on a date with on what to wear? Why don't you ask your mum?"

"I did, but she said I was a big boy and can dress myself. Now please help me"

"Ok, give me a second"

Caitlin looked at the pictures of both. Both looked great, and she could imagine Barry in both. He would look great in both, she thought

"Black. Go with the black. Always a safe bet"

"Thanks latte"

"Now is there anything else, or can I go? Unless you want me to come and help you put it on?"

"I'd rather you help me take them off"

Caitlin rolled her eyes

"Do you ever stop?"

"What did I do?"

"Flirting"

"Not with you. You love it really. Your just playing hard to get"

"Whatever makes you happy. Now, can I go now? I've got to get ready for a date"

"A date? Anyone I know?"

"It's just some guy who's obsessed with me, and won't take no for an answer. I took pity on him, and said yes"

"Well enjoy. Who knows you might have fun?"

Caitlin ended the call, and finished getting ready. At exactly 8, her buzzer went. She opened the door to see Barry, with a bouquet of roses in hand. She took the roses, and put them away.

"Wow, you look great latte"

"You scrub up pretty well yourself. So where are we going?"

"Bowling"

"What?"

"Yes"

Caitlin put her hands on her hips

"Excuse me? Do I look dressed for bowling? You should have said, I would of dressed differently"

"Relax, I'm joking. You look fine for where we're going"

Caitlin thought Barry had lost it

"Barry, have you lost it?"

"Why?"

"Who has dinner outside, in the freezing cold?"

"Relax, there's a method to my madness. The staff are bringing out the radiators, as we speak. Plus, I thought you wanted to see the city"

Caitlin looked at Barry, as he leaned his head to the right. Caitlin got up and walked to where he was telling her. She gasped. It was such a beautiful view of the city. She felt two strong arms around her waist, and leaned back into Barry's chest. What was Barry doing to her?

Caitlin found herself laughing and enjoying Barry's company, as they had dinner. All too soon it was time to go home. Caitlin was quiet on the ride home. Barry walked her to her building

"Thanks Barry. You were right. I did actually enjoy myself"

Barry watched as Caitlin walked away. It was now or never

"Wait latte"

"Huh?"

"I forgot something"

"What?"

"This" said Barry, kissing her he approached her

Kissing Barry was nothing new to Caitlin, as her arms automatically went around Barry's neck. Barry soon pulled away and rested their foreheads together

"Well I'll see you later"

"You have to let go of me first"

Barry let go, as Caitlin ran to her building. She gave him a quick smile before going in. Barry smiled. They were making progress
