Zoren Gray: Let's enroll together. Will pick you up in twenty.

Nasa gitna ng labi ko ang sandwich na kinakain ko. I groaned because I'm already at school!

Ako: I'm already here. Naka enroll na rin ako. Samahan na lang kita.

Ako: Sorry! Dapat kasi sinabi mo na kagabi sa call!

Grade twelve na kami sa pasukan. Magkaiba pa rin ang eskwelahan na papasukan namin. He wanted me to study in the same school as his, but I refused. I like him a lot, but I can't study there alone. I know he's there... but how about my friends? Kenzie? Plus, one year na lang din naman.

Hindi naman na namin pinag-awayan ang tungkol doon dahil sanay na kami sa set-up. He always goes to my school after classes. We always hang out during weekends and stay at his place if we have things to accomplish for school. We're together most of the time, so I don't think having separate schools will cause us complications.

He's also not entertaining any girls anymore. Legit! He's gotten distant from his opposite sex. And I was so relieved and grateful for it! I'm even proud! But our label stayed as it is. We're stil. romantic friends. I don't know why he's not doing anything to upgrade us, but I never questioned him since I'm all satisfied with what's between us.

Dumiretso ako sa labas ng school dahil hindi na raw siya papasok. I momentarily saw his car parked so I run towards it— avoiding the bitchy sun. I groaned when I entered.

"Hi!" I greeted and smiled at the most precious gift I'd ever received.

He started the car.

"Where do you want to go next?" he asked seriously after gazing at me.

"I don't have a specific place in mind. I'll just decide later. After you enroll yourself..."

Dumiretso kami sa kanilang campus. Habang naglalakad papunta sa treasurer's office, pinagtitinginan kami. Agaw pansin naman kasi talaga kami palagi. I was in a salute gesture— covering my face because of the rays. Hinila naman ako ni Zoren papasok sa office.

"Bakit ka pa mag e-enroll? Sa inyo naman ito, 'di ba?"

Not really theirs but the owner is his relatives, so technically it's kinda theirs. Pwede niya nang ipaasikaso sa iba tutal may koneksyon naman siya...

"I always like doing things myself."

Tumango ako at hindi na umimik dahil inaasikaso na siya. I was rubbing my arms with my hands to create friction. Ang lamig kasi rito sa office. I saw Zoren glanced at me and I smiled. Masungit ang ekspresyon niya at may sinabi sa kausap na staff bago ako hinila palabas.

"Tapos na? Ang bilis naman!"

Bumalik kami sa kanyang kotse.

"Saan mo gusto?" he asked and licked his lower lip. Hindi niya pinansin ang aking tanong. Alam kong hindi pa tapos kaya bakit aalis na kami? Hindi ko na lang pinagtuunan.

"Pwede namang sa puso mo na lang... Wala ka pang babayaran!"

Humalakhak ako pagkatapos dahil sa galit niyang tingin. "I'm just kidding! Kahit saan, basta coffee shop." I then laughed again.

He smirked. "Coffee shop it is," aniya at niliko na ang sasakyan.

Hindi kalayuan ang pinuntahan namin. Nakapalibot ang aking kamay sa kanyang braso habang naglalakad kami galing sa parking lot. He was jungling his keys when we entered. Wala naman gaanong tao kaya mas gusto ko. Hindi kasi mahilig itong si Zoren makipagharutan sa matataong lugar.
