To throne of Hades pair ascend
In hopes he'll bid their quest to end.
So up the path they briskly trod
To go and see the dying god.

And gain their grant to take the hound
That guards his gate above the ground.
To Tyrne to show the tyrant king
The final boon that freedom brings.

On hill they spy a palace dark
That sends a shock of fear to heart.
But still they walk the winding way
To court of dead to have their say.

And after walking many hours
To castle bearing dreadful towers.
That spiral black into the sky
On up to ceiling just as high.

They come to door where court is held
On down inside the land of hell.
They peak inside and many see
In hall of court to pay their fee.

To Hades king of death and dread
In underworld where souls are fed.

Inside the hall the hero walks
And many voices murmur talk.
When seeing living man in halls
Where only dead by king are called.

Then sovereign dread, the pair beseech
When end of hall they briskly reach.
"We come to ask your favor sire
To help this man with task so dire.

That godling takes the hound at gate
To king of Tyrne as ask by fate."
And Hades nods and gives assent
That up to world the hound be sent.

"I set on jury twelve that day
And dozen labors hero gave.
So king won't stop the heroes path
That's forged in gloom by Heras Wrath.

So take the dog to world of man
Where living creatures still yet stand."
Then Kore the queen that Hades stole
And tricked to make her play the role

Of sovereign down in realm most dread
As consort queen in land of dead.
Now spoke her voice so great and fierce
That duos heart by fear was pierced.

"But tools of war you shall not useNor guard of hell may man abuseFor hound has serve this court so wellBy keeping ghost from leaving hell

"But tools of war you shall not use
Nor guard of hell may man abuse
For hound has serve this court so well
By keeping ghost from leaving hell.

So find a way to tame our hound
That neither harms nor creature bounds.
Then dog may leave its post at gate
To help you solve your fickle fate."

Then queen resenting all who stand
Inside the realm of dying land.
Did sink to throne with dreadful smirk
And hero nods to queen so curt.
