chapter 51 [ Inside the carriage ]

This is my first time writing romance scene, please don't mind me. I'm just trying to give you readers fanservice scenes.

Inside the huge space carriage, Ares and Aphrodite sat in the opposite facing each other. With one hand holding a book and one hand placing on his lap, Ares reads his book quietly but glanced at Aphrodite once in a while.

Aphrodite silently stared at the scenery outside the window. She looks as the orange heart shape leaves fell down like rain, decorating the road with orange and red leaves.

It was quite fascinating but to Aphrodite, it isn't beautiful without Adelliana with her.

[ If only Adele is here to see this too...]

"Are you thinking about Adelliana again?"

Ares who couldn't help but ask Aphrodite who made a face which almost looks like the world is ending and boring.

"It's just...this is the first time both of us have been apart. Usually, the longest is 11 hours. But I would rather her stay home than coming to a place filled with many noble. It would be the best to have her avoiding meeting with the people from the temple as much as possible."

Aphrodite leans her head against the window as her amethyst like eyes glimmer with hate and resentment. She couldn't remember why she hates the temple so much but Aphrodite can't never seem to bring herself to like the temple.

It's like trusting a devil in an angel disguise.

"I also never wanted Adele to meet those from the temple. For some reason, I found them hard to place a trust in them. It would be a problem if the pope wants to meet Adele by using the holy ceremony holiday as an excuse."

Ares closed his book and threw it to one place on the seat. Aphrodite did not say anything aside from staring at his face. It's almost been 7 years since they are married yet they only began to have a proper conversation when Adelliana began to grew up.

She remembers how she used to head over heel for him then resent him and later on, adoring. It's hard to describe the butterflies feeling she felt inside her heart.

One time, she loves him. One time, she hates him and one time she can't help but wanting to be there when he is stressed out.

Remembering their little moments together, Aphrodite's lip curved into a small smile as both of her cheeks flushed slightly red unknowingly.

Ares who witnessed the whole thing began to feel something rise.

Something is rising and it's definitely not the shield hero-

WRONG LIGHT NOVEL!!!

Ares rises from his seat and move closer to Aphrodite. He pinned her between his arms as he watched her squirmed around in confusion and embarrassment.

Aphrodite who was suddenly trapped between her husband's arms, wanting to scream out in confusion. (Insert confused cute anime girl noises)

"A-Ar-"

"Why are you making such face? Are you trying to invite me?"

"?!!!!!!?"

Aphrodite tried to push him away but at the end, she couldn't even budge him. Due to embarrassment, Aphrodite hid her face in his chest and mutter under her breath but Ares could hear it clearly.

"Then....what are you going to do about the invitation I send to you...?" She was wondering whether will he reject her or not.

"I'm gladly to be the only one to accepted this invitation."

After that, he pulled Aphrodite onto his laps as their eyes met. Bright amethyst eyes filled with nervousness and embarrassment while his shimmering ruby ones were filled with desire and lust.

(Wtf am I even writing-?)

Her small hands interwine with his rough big one. Inside the carriage, there was no loud sound aside from small noises which didn't attract any attention.

Back in the duchy of Valentine on the Valentine hill sat Adelliana who stared at the horizon with regret and despair in her eyes.

"Oh no.....Who's gonna interrupt dad when he want to have a moment with mom-?"

(That was so damn cringy, right? But I hope you will have a horny imagination what's happening inside the carriage :D)
