Surprise

I walked quickly through the airport, approaching the baggage claim and grabbing my suitcase, basically running towards the front where I was supposed to meet Armie.

My boyfriend Timothèe has been in Italy for 5 months now shooting his new movie 'Call me by Your Name'. We hadn't seen each other at all and with the large time difference, it's been difficult to get him on the phone. I missed him like hell, so I decided to surprise him.

I obviously couldn't navigate Italy myself and I had no idea where they were shooting, all I knew is timmys co star, Armie and him had gotten close over filming. So I decided to shoot him a dm explaining what I wanted to do and prayed to god he would respond.

After about 2 days of impatiently waiting, I finally heard back from him. We took a few days to plan everything out and it was so hard not to tell Timmy. I was a horrible secret keeper and an even worse liar

Finally the wait was over and I was only a couple hours away from seeing my favorite person after what felt like years.

"Y/n, it's nice to finally meet you" Armie said as I greeted him at the entrance

"You as well, thank you so much for helping me with this"

"It's my pleasure really, Timmy tells me a lot about you, he'll be thrilled to see you"

"I can't wait"

"Well I figured we would go right to the set, he should be going on lunch here soon, so that will give you some time to get ready or do anything you want to do before you see him. And then I have this idea that we'll pretend we're shooting a scene and then you can come in and surprise him"

"Oh I don't want to disrupt filming"

"No you wouldn't, everyone on set knows except Timmy, it'll be fake you won't be disrupting anything"

"Ok yeah sounds good"

We got into the car and started the 20 minute drive to set, I was so antsy and excited to see him.

We finally made it and Armie snuck me into set without anyone seeing, he put me in his dressing room and told me to wait there until he came and got me.

I changed quickly into some jeans and a cute shirt, discarding my sweatpants and sweatshirt I had worn on the almost 13 hour plane ride. I looked in the mirror, applying some mascara and concealer to any blemishes I saw. I ran my fingers through my hair and stood there, waiting. I leaned back and forth on my heels, biting the inside of my lip. I felt like I was going to puke, or cry or both maybe I don't know. It not that I was nervous to see Timmy, it's just that when you don't see someone for a while you don't know how they'll be. What if he's changed? What if he's different than I remember?

My thoughts were interrupted by the door swinging open and Armie standing there with a huge smile on his face.

"You ready?"

"I've been ready for 5 months"

He smiled and led me to the set, it was a beautiful backyard set with a picnic table, there was food and drinks and plates all over it. I walked out slowly, almost hiding behind a wall. I could see the back of his head as he sat at the end. I could've broke down and cried right then and there just at the sight of his curls.

"Alright, scene 8. Quiet on set and Action!"

Armie had told me to wait for him to look at me before approaching. They started the scene, Timmy reading his lines like normal, Armie reciting his lines back. After the exchange in words, Armie locked eyes with me, signaling it was my time to shine. My heart began to race faster than before and the butterflies in my stomach were fluttering like crazy.

I took small and quiet steps behind him. I shook my nerves away a little and walked up sitting down in the seat next to him.

"Is this seat taken?" I asked holding back my smile

His eyes shot up to mine and his mouth dropped, he jumped up and in one swift movement, he pulled me up and wrapped his arms around me

"Y/n? What are you doing here?" He mumbled into my shoulder. I could feel the tears welling in my eyes and I relaxed immediately under his touch.

"Surprise" I giggled

He pulled back slightly to look at me, only a second before connecting his lips with mine. It was like no one else was there, just me and him in our own little world. He pulled away shortly, bringing me back in for another hug.

"Alright love birds, get out of here go have fun" The director Luca yelled

"What about the scene, don't we have to fini-"

"That was all fake, we all knew she was coming" Armie said laughing

He shook his head and smiled at me

"You're sneaky"

I laughed and he said quick goodbyes to everyone before quickly pulling me away and into his dressing room.

"God I can't believe you're here" he said taking his shirt off from set and replacing it with one of his own

"Me either, I missed you so much" I said wrapping my arms around him, wanting to feels his warmth once again

"C'mon, I'll show you around, you're gonna love Italy, how long are you here?"

"2 weeks"

He smiled brightly and kissed me softly causing me to blush

The rest of the day we spent walking around crema and visiting some small shops. Timmy took me to his favorite cafe that he had found while being here. We walked around some more and then went to dinner.

Finally we made it to his apartment which was more like a penthouse.

Timmy insisted on hauling my suitcase in even though it probably weighed as much as he did

"This is beautiful" I said walking in

"Not as beautiful as you" he said coming up behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist

"You're so cheesy" I giggled

"I know you love it"

I leaned my head back against his shoulder, my eyes shutting immediately as I listened to the sound of his breathing while we both stood there

"Y/n?" He whispered

"Hmm?" I hummed in response, keeping my eyes closed

"Let's go to bed"

"No but I thought we would-"

"You're tired, it was a long day, we have two weeks, let's just go to bed"

"Okay" I smiled

He led me to his bedroom and handed me one of his shirts so I wouldn't have to dig through my suitcase. I quickly put it on and crawled in, he did as well, wrapping his arms around my waist against and pulling me close to him

"I'm so glad you're here, I love you" he whispered

"I love you too"
