And once the hound's to hades sent
On down where all of time be spent.
He turns his path to Lydian land
Where love of hero current stands.
And after many years apart
From one who holds the heroes heart.
To Omphale queen of Lydias horde
He goes to love on hearts accord.
And after many weeks on road
To go to realm where heart abodes.
He sees the stony palace halls
At sight that hero's heart does call.
In sprint he breaks to reach the gate
To find his love as bid by fate.
And Omphale out of window spies
The hero running fast to side.
Then up from throne the queen now sprung
And down the palace steps she runs.
On through the city out the gates
To see the man at will of fates.
Into his arms the queen now lept
And off her feet the hero swept
The sovereign godling loved so deep
Then carried queen to stony keep.
And many children queen did bear
That pair did raise with greatest care.
But strife again would enter home
And queen of Lydias left alone.
When world did need hero great
To play this role was godlings fate.
But distance never ended care
That each for other always bared.
