I flipped over, facing the light hair of the boy beside me. I could feel the shock and surprise written on my face without even having to see it in a mirror. My mouth was gaping wide open, so widely that my jaw began to hurt. My frantic movement must have woken him up (because there was no way that the 'beautiful sunshine' could've woken him up) and he half turned, letting me see the leafy green colour of his unusual iris. His half open eye looked at me, sleepily, then he grinned and turned back around without a word and fell back asleep. Did he always wake up in a different, random girls bed?

Hesitantly, but angrily, I poked a finger into his shoulder. He murmured but didn't wake or turn his head around again.

I poked him again, this time harder. Who the hell was he? Why was he in my bed? Was he. . .the thing that was watching me? I didn't feel watched anymore but I didn't feel safe either.

"Mm, babe. . ." He murmured in his sleepy voice.

"Excuse me?" I whispered, I didn't know why.

"Go back to sleep. It's still early." He replied, his eyes closed still.

"Who the heck are you!" I yelled and then immediately shut my mouth incase my mom heard me.

"What. . .?" The boy asked, confused. He turned around fully to look at me with wide, disoriented eyes. "I'm. . .I'm your husband." He said, hesitant and unsure.

"What." I said flatly, there was no way I was believing that.

"What do you mean? You don't remember me?" He asked, sitting my up and looking down at me with worry and confusion clear in those unnatural eyes of his. "It's me, Chris! Your husband of six months!?"

"I'm not married." I replied doubtfully. "I'm only seventeen. . ."

"No. . .you turned twenty three a few months ago!" This guy - 'Chris' - said, bewildered and on the verge of looking like he was loosing his mind.

"I'm not married to you! I'm still a teenager!" I argued back.

"Oh my -" He started but stopped, running his hands through his hair. "I need to take you to the hospital. Right now. Let's go."

"You're not taking me anywhere. Get out of my bed." I said sternly but a bit confused. What was going on?

"Baby! Don't do this to me!" 'Chris' said, looking helpless. "I love you and you love me too! I don't know what's going on with you but please, let me help you."

"I was just seventeen yesterday!" I screamed. I could feel my face turning hot and red. Who was this guy and why was he playing with me? Was I high on something? Heck, I don't even curse! How was I supposed to be high on something when I didn't even swear!?

"I don't know what's going on. . ." I mumbled, running my hands through my hair like 'Chris' had.

"Let's go to the hospital and see." He gently suggested, placing a big hand on my shoulder. I looked up at him and furrowed my eyebrows. I knew what was happening. And now I knew how I could find out if it was all true or if this guy was missing with me. And if he was, I had my cellphone right next to me on the bedside table.

"First. . .answer me this," I said, looking into his eyes. "What is my name. My full name."

"What?" He asked, incredulously.

"Answer me, Chris."

"Fine! Your name -"

"My full name." I interrupted.

"Your full name is, Rachel Louise -"

"Wrong!" I screamed and hit the guy with my pillow as hard as I could and reached out to grab my cellphone. Chris' hand reached around and grabbed my wrist just as my fingers felt the cool, smooth surface of my phone. "Let go!" I screamed and reached out my other hand to grab my phone but was stopped short once again.

"Listen!" Chris whispered into my ear. "I am your husband. I got married to you with that name!"

"No -"

"- Okay you got me." Chris cut me off, a smile evident in his voice.

"What!?"

"I'm just kidding with you. I'm not your husband and you still are seventeen. Hell, in not even old enough to be married either!" Chris laughed aloud and let go of my wrists, falling back onto my bed on his back. He looked at me with his green eyes and smirked at me. "I so got you."

"Who the hell are you and what the hell are you doing in my room?!" I screamed loudly as I hit him as hard as I could with my pillow. Then I fell off my bed and scrambled across my bedroom toward the doorway. I stood up and saw that Chris was no longer in the bed.

He was right in front of me.

"Well, my names not actually Chris, I just made that up on the spot because I'm totally good with pranks and lies. I'm a trickster." The guy spoke with a wide smile on his face. It would have seemed otherwise friendly if he hadn't been a total stranger with unnerving eyes. "My real name is Kyle."

"What. . .?" I stupidly mumbled out loud.

"I'm just joking!" Kyle - Chris - the damn nameless guy - laughed again. "Okay, for real though, my name is - truthfully, that is - Lorin."

"Okay. . .I can sort of believe that." I answered back, eyeing him carefully. I guess he did look like a Lorin. "What are you. . . and don't give me any bull-crap."

"What gave it away? My unnatural, charming smile? My inhuman and gorgeous features? Or -"

"It was your dumb 'unnatural' eyes." I cut him off before his head got too big.

"Right." Lorin closed his mouth into a tight line before breaking into a grin again. "Oh, and I'm a nephilim."
