The air is warm and sticky. The sun is beaming. The temperature outside is almost at 100 degrees. It's the typical California weather for summer. It shows no mercy to anyone, including our main characters. Though it is only approaching 7 am the heat blisters their skin as they go to unlock the doors of the club.

"Could it be any hotter?" Vanessa complains. She digs in her bag for a scrunchie and throws her hair up into a messy bun. Two pieces fall and frame her face. Her hair has been growing all summer and the beads of sweat make it stick to her face. She's ready to cut it all off as they embark upon the new journey of starting school again. You see, it is the last week of summer vacation. Today is the last day that they will be opening the club up full time. It's been amazing but it's the last year of high school and they have to get their head in the game.

"California weather sucks" Alex follows. His hair flops from the sweat and the perm that he has. His blonde tips have returned and they dangle over his face. His friends and siblings joked about the circumstances that he had to cut off his other perm and bleached tips off for. This left room for his police cheif father to ask questions. They didn't think that it was the best idea to tell an officer about their past crimes so the joke stopped there.

"Quit complaining, it's our last full day here. Let's make the best off it" Aaron's voice says. His tall figure comes through the door. His fatherly aspect and positive look on life is still there, even though it's his past. He's gained a few more muscles over the break as his strength came back.

"I'm ready for today!" Kian chirps as he walks in. He had finally turned 18 over the break and the first thing he did was get a tattoo. It has become an ongoing collection of his. He stopped at three before his mother killed him.

"I can't believe that summer break is almost over" Veronica announces. Her sweet voice comes through the back entrance. She has a baby in her hands. It's not hers but it is for the day. It's Malaya. Her baby fat rolls over her bracelet that she has on as her fingers go in her mouth.

"We have got to get you a teething toy" Lauren says. She looks and Malaya's slobbery hands and bracelet. Lauren dawns a new appearance. Her bleach blonde hair is now brown and she has two or three tattoos lining her hand and ankle. She got them and everyone teased her and Alex about her being able to get tattoos before him. He is younger than everyone. He barely made the mark to be in the same grade as Aaron but his parents had him less that a year after Aaron so it all worked out.

"Let's get this show on the road!" Aaron remarks. He's excited. It's a showcase. There is no camp today but the kids are able to bring the parents to watch the video that they put together of all the memories of summer. The kids can show off all of the accomplishments and goals. It's just wrapping up the summer and saying so long for now.

The teens tidy up the club. They lay out the chairs and set everything up just perfect. This will probably be on the news, as is many of their achievements are now. They have become the town spectacle after everything that has happened. They're used to it now. Mariah and Luke would be joining them, but they're occupied with getting a school schedule in place. Online school has become a thing for them since the baby is here. They will alternate days. Mariah will be online on A days and Luke will be online on B days. This has become there new reality. As the legal guardians of Mariah and Luke, Sherry, Lear, and Lily have to be at the school. They hate to miss closing day but they promised the kids that's they would be there at the end.

People start to file in with their kids at 8 am. They look around and the kids eagerly show their achievements. The show doesn't really get started until 6 pm but parents come early. Aaron gives them a copy of a disk that has a compilation a photos and videos of the camp over the summer. He tells the parents to come back if they can to watch the full thing at 6. All through the day this continues to happen until they finally reach 4:30. Kids start to come in and get ready for the big showcase.

There will be a small fashion show of the best outfits made in the club. The cheerleaders will do their cheers and show off their flips. The football players will show case their throws and catches and the basketball player will put on a dunk show. Food that was cooke yesterday in preparation for today will be served and hairstyles, nails, and makeup will be shown off. Everything seems to be set into places. The kids get ready go backstage. Their parents and other kids come in. Not very kid is apart of the show case but a good majority is. The curtains open up and the show begins.

A fair share of oohs and ah's go around and after the show the teens thank everyone for coming and making the day special. Andrew would have lived every second of this. He would want to be front a center and be the star he was.

Everything wraps up around 8 and everyone is to tired to do anything else. They go home and Lauren take Malaya home. She leaves Aaron and Veronica to close the store for the last time off the summer. The key turn in the doorknob a smile goes across Aaron and Roni's face as they close shop. They are ready to
embark on senior year. The year of greatness.
