Y/N's P.O.V.

"Ow- ow, careful!" Peter whined as I carefully stitched up the cut on his arm. I had already finished stitching up the cut on his side, which was twice the size of the one just below his shoulder.

"This would be a lot easier for both of us if you could just stay still and just maybe focus on doing one thing at a time?" I looked at my boyfriend with a slight glare and he sighed, putting his pen down.
"Thank you. I'm sure your essay can wait until after I've finished stitching you up."

"I completely forgot about it." He muttered, looking at me.
"May is going to be pissed if I get another detention."

"You're not going to get another detention." I rolled my eyes and he winced as I cut the thread.
"Besides, I think you've got something a little more important to think about right now." I looked at the cuts and bruises on his exposed torso and arms, as well as his black eye.
"For example-"

"Peter, I'm home!" May called and Peter's eyes widened dramatically. I jumped up out of my seat and hid the small medical kit in my backpack, but not before throwing a sweatshirt at Peter, who hissed in pain as he pulled it on. The door opened and I sat on the end of Peter's bed, smiling innocently at May.
"Y/N, hi. I didn't know you were here." She smiled at me, before looking at Peter and her smile dropped. Shit. The black eye.
"Oh my God, what-"

"It's my fault!" I said suddenly, jumping up. Peter wasn't great at lying, especially to May.
"We were playing a game and I accidentally elbowed him in the face." I laughed awkwardly, rubbing the back of my neck.
"Please don't be mad, it was just an accident."

"I'm not mad." May sighed, shaking her head.
"Should I be mad?" She asked Peter, who quickly shook his head.

"No- no. It was an accident." Peter stuttered, smiling nervously.
"It was kind of my fault anyway..."

"Alright." May nodded.
"Y/N are you staying for dinner?"

"If that's okay with you?" I smiled at her and she nodded, mumbling something about leaving us alone as she left.

"Should I be worried about how easily you just lied to her?" Peter asked and I shook my head and he held his arms up to me as if he wanted a hug. I moved to hug him and he pulled me into his lap, making me laugh a little when the desk chair turned slightly.
"Thanks for patching me up. Again."

"Anytime, Parker." He kissed my head lightly, making me smile at the innocent gesture. He looked like he was going to say something, when he suddenly turned towards the door and I looked at him in confusion. After a second, I could hear May talking to someone, before footsteps approached and the door opened, revealing Ned.

"Hey guys." He smiled brightly. I liked Ned, he was a sweet guy and gave surprisingly good advice. He was also an amazing friend to both me and Peter.
"Woah- dude, your eye!" Ned closed the door and I moved away from Peter, my phone buzzing with a text, where I had left it on his bed.
"Did you get that as Spider-Man?"

"No, I punched him in the face." I deadpanned and Ned looked horrified, making both Peter and I laugh.
"No, of course he got it as Spider-Man."

"Oh, good." Ned laughed awkwardly and I read the text from my dad. He was just asking what time I was getting home and I quickly replied, letting him know I was staying at Peter's for dinner. My parents were good people, who both really liked Peter. Both of my parents were doctors, which is why Peter always called me when he needed stitching up. I planned on following in their footsteps and they insisted I started learning early.

"Y/N? You okay?" Peter asked and I looked at him.
"You just looked kind of zoned out."

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just texting my dad." I smiled and he nodded, standing up. He winced in pain, holding his hand against the wound on his side.
"Pop those stitches and I might actually punch you. Sit back down."

"Stitches? Awesome." Ned grinned and I glared at him.
"Not awesome..." Peter laid down next to me, putting his head in my lap and without even thinking about it, I began to play with his hair.
Ned began to tell me a headcannon he had for some TV show he was watching and I listened, knowing enough about the show from hearing both Peter and Ned talking about it. Occasionally, I'd question something, which would lead him into a whole other speech, but I didn't mind.
Before I knew it, May shouted that dinner was ready and Ned went to say something to Peter, who had fallen asleep and neither of us had noticed.
"He looks exhausted. I'll tell May he's asleep on my way out."

"You're not staying for dinner?" I asked and Ned shook his head.

"Nah, it's pizza night. Tell Peter I'll text him later and I'll see you both tomorrow?" Ned smiled and I nodded, before he left and I looked at the sleeping brunet.

"Peter?" I shook him lightly and he hummed in his sleep.
"Pete, come on." He opened his eyes tiredly and I smiled down at him.

"Hey, Y/N." He mumbled, a sleepy smile on his face.
"What's up?"

"Dinner's ready, but if you want to get some more rest, you should probably get into bed properly." He hummed, closing his eyes again, making me laugh.
"Come on, bed." I nudged him and he reluctantly got up, groaning in pain. He crawled under the covers and I kissed his head.
"I'll see you tomorrow."

"No, stay." He whined.
"Please?" I sighed and agreed, before he moved over slightly and I slipped into the bed next to him. He instantly wrapped his arms around me and kissed my lips sleepily, before putting his head against my chest.
"I love you." He mumbled, already half asleep.

"I love you too."
