"Neville! There you are! I've been looking for you everywhere" Viola said finally finding Neville who was stood in the lake knees deep "careful you don't want to fall and hurt yourself again. The rocks can be really slippery"
"Oh hi Vi!" Neville smiled happily
"What are you doing here by yourself?" Viola asked
"I'm not, Harry's with me"
Viola turned her attention from Neville and looked to the side to see Harry sat there with a book in his hands, his back pressed up to a tree.
"Oh" Viola simply replied sitting on the edge of the lake far away from Harry.
"Amazing! Amazing" Neville sighed as he held up a bit of pond weed after a couple of minutes silence.
"Neville, you're doing it again" Harry sighed putting down his book
"Oh right, sorry" Neville said his enthusiasm dropping
"Excuse me" Viola interrupted "I don't think you have any place to tell Neville what he can or can't be excited about. If Neville wants to talk about the plants he can. It's okay Nev I'll listen" She smiled encouragingly.
"Magical water plants of the highland lock?" Harry asked reading Nevilles book ignoring Viola.
"Mad eye moody, gave it to me" Neville replied "that day we had tea".
Neville waved behind Viola causing her to turn around.
"Oh, Mattia!" Viola said smiling at the boy "how are you?"
"I'm good" he laughed "just a little lost. These grounds are massive, it's difficult to get around" he waved casually
"I can show you around if you'd like?" Viola asked
"Sure" Mattia shrugged happily holding a hand out for Viola to take to help her up.
Viola took it gracefully as Mattia pulled her up strongly.
"Mi lady" he bowed jokingly as he held his arm out for her to take. She laughed as she looped her arm with his and brushed down her skirt.
"See you later Nev?" Viola asked
"Yeah!" Neville waved
Viola turned her attention to Harry
"Eerrr... yeah I've got nothing" she said looking at the boy and pulling Mattia away.
"Poor Potter" Mattia laughed as they walked away "what did he ever do to you?"
"Many things" Viola replied with an eye roll. Truth be told she didn't even know why she started hating Harry in the first place anymore. But what she did know what that she enjoyed making him angry and watching him become frustrated. It had quickly become her favourite past time "he's gross so let's not talk about him" she said smiling up at him and leading him across the grounds and around the lake.
The pair chatted as they strolled around the lake, bumping shoulders and laughing at Violas stupid jokes.
"I bet you've missed me" she teased
"I wouldn't be so sure" Mattia joked in response.
"You've gotten fit you know?" Viola said fixing his hair that had blown in the wind
Mattia threw his head back laughing.
"Thank you Vi" he smiled "I guess?"
"You're very welcome Mat" she hummed as the fiddled with her jewellery casually "how do you feel about Victor in the tournament?"
"I'm proud of him, he can definitely win it. I just hope he doesn't get hurt"
"I'm sure he won't" Viola reassured "but i doubt he's going to win it. Diggorys got it in the bag"
"I wouldn't be so sure about that" Mattia raised an eyebrow
"Oh? Is that so?" Viola hummed through a smile "what kind of Hogwarts student would I be if I didn't back my school?"
"Fair play miss Lupin. Your loyalty is unmatched "
