Family was always so important to Augustus's mother, even though she had a small family. If she didn't marry Augustus Sr. her family wouldn't be as big it is now. She wanted more than one kid, she wanted boys and girls. It didn't matter the gender, she wanted children in general but since Augustus Sr. thought that having one boy was enough and he didn't want any more children because he said they were too expensive and he honestly didn't want children but he needed someone to take over his company when he was gone. It was sad to Edith because Augustus Sr. saw having Augustus as a business arrangement rather than a child.

Augustus swallows hard as he looks at his watch as he sat in his meeting. Shania was directing the meeting and he sat down and if he needed to add anything to then he would but she was always responsible and covered just about everything that Augustus didn't need to. "Is there anything else you would like to add before we dismiss?" Shania asked Augustus and Augustus smiled, he shook his head. "No, ma'am." He concluded and Shania dismissed everyone and Shania exhaled as he leaned against the table. Augustus watched everyone leave, and he looked at Shania who was sweating a little, she looked tired.

Things were very different with Shania lately, and Augustus knows Shania like the back of his hand. The constant getting up to go the restroom, the constant eating, but there are days when she doesn't have an appetite at all. At first, Augustus thought maybe it was a stomach bug, so he sent her home, but the stomach bug has been happening for the past month. "When are you going to tell your sister that you're pregnant?" Augustus questioned making Shania shoot her head up, her mouth was agape and Augustus got up. "Shania... you have been my older sister for years... I know what you like to eat and what you don't like, I know whenever you're sick or sad. I wanted to wait until you said something but it's stressing you out. What is wrong?" Augustus asks her, he pulls out a chair and Shania sits down, Augustus feels her head to make sure that she doesn't feel too warm.

"I just... I didn't plan to have children... at all. I just got promoted and here I am about to go on maternity leave within a couple of months. Falah wants children and I don't but it doesn't feel right to me because I don't. It feels selfish, I have the opportunity to have children but Salma... she can't and I know how much it really put a strain on her and you as well. I'm just scared to tell her because I feel that she will look at me differently or be upset with me." Shania explained.

Augustus sits down and he honestly didn't expect all that. He understood what Shania was stressing about because it's still sensitive to Salma and she's still taking therapy, trying to cope with it all. "Oh... well, Salma loves you a lot and you're her best sister, been with her through everything. It may seem selfish to you but it wouldn't to her because she would understand. You guys count on each other for everything. You're coming over tonight for dinner, you can tell her after or honestly whenever you feel comfortable." Augustus says and Shania exhaled as she rubbed her head, Augustus rested his hand on her back and he rubbed it. "It's going to be okay and I know that Falah is always busy but you got me and Salma to take care of you, you know we will take care of you. You always took care of us, so it's our turn." Augustus added and Shania smiled a little, she rubs Augustus's arm because she truly raised him well.

"What do you want to eat?" Augustus asked Shania.

Shania perked up a little and she tapped her chin as she thought about it. "I want Mexican food but I want some pasta." Shania says and Augustus takes his phone. "And I want ice cream, orange sherbert please." Shania requested, Augustus ordered her the food that she wanted not questioning the odd choices even though something inside wanted to judge just a little but she was pregnant so it honestly didn't really matter.

The day slowly goes by and Augustus finally got to go home after a day of making sure Shania was okay and then dealing with foolishness around the office. Augustus exhaled as he walked through the front door and it smelled like thanksgiving in her house even though it was just a regular afternoon. Salma's cooking always felt like Thanksgiving because she could so well, she knew how to cook just about everything.
