The cabin was silent.

Jay and Tyler were fast asleep on the sofa, Harley was curled up in a rocking chair on the other side of the living room, Leonardo was sprawled across the floor in front of the warm fireplace, and I was sitting at the round kitchen table, contemplating our next course of action.

I knew that Jay would want to find Tyler's kidnappers and make them pay for what they did to his brother, and I did too because thinking about all of the pain and torture that Tyler had to endure because of them made my blood boil, but it wasn't a priority right now.

Before anything else, we had to figure out what the hell happened back at Dominic's cabin. Plus, the disc was still missing. If I was being honest with myself, I was extremely tired of talking about it and looking for it.

I just wished that it'd land in the palm of my hands or something, but that'd be too easy. And nothing in this life comes easy, that's a lesson that everyone should learn.

The sound of approaching footsteps pulled me from my thoughts. I glanced over my shoulder and found Leonardo standing in the doorway of the kitchen.

I rolled my eyes, looking away from him.

"Aren't you tired?" He asked, walking over to the refrigerator. He grabbed a bottle of water and screwed off the cap, almost downing the entire thing.

I drummed my fingertips on the table and shook my head, "My mind is racing at one thousand miles a minute, I'm not even thinking about sleep right now." I shrugged.

Leonardo strolled over to the table and sat down across from me. He leaned back in the chair, a sly smirk on his face.

"You're stubborn," He mumbled, stroking his beard. "You should get some sleep, Vixen. When was the last time you got some rest?"

I leaned forward, narrowing my eyes at him, "Nah, something isn't right. Suddenly, you care about my well-being, or something? What's the deal, Leo?"

Leonardo and I weren't exactly friends. It was hard to be cordial with someone whose head I fantasized about slicing off.

"Hey, I'm just stating the obvious. You look like shit. Before we leave this cabin, you need some shut-eye."

I folded my arms across my chest and shook my head, "I'm not buying your bullshit, Leo. Tell me the truth, what do you want?"

Leonardo pursed his lips and stared at me for a minute before sighing, "Fine. Maybe I do want something, but you'd benefit from it as much as I would."

"Spit it out, Leo."

"I want to help you find the disc," He blurted out. "And as soon as we find it, I want to help you destroy it."

Destroy the disc? Why the hell would we do that?

"I'm sorry, did you just propose that we destroy the disc? Why the fuck would we do that?" I spat, glaring at him.
