Roman pulls into a parking spot right in front of the cafe. I just sit there for at least 5 minutes. Why am I doing this?
Screw it.
"If I'm not back in 10 minutes text me. If I don't answer please come and take me out of there" He nods in understatement. I head inside almost immediately spotting Axel at a booth.
This was a mistake, but there's no going back now. I sit on the opposite side of the booth, not looking at him in the eyes.
"You have 10 minutes. Speak." He tries grabbing my hand but I quickly remove it. No way in hell I'm letting him touch me.
"Look I know you're mad, and you should be. I'm so sorry for what I tried doing. It's no excuse, but I was drunk and I wasn't myself." He had me at first, but then he used alcohol as an excuse. There is no excuse for that.
"You know what they say, drunken words are sober thoughts. Thank you for your apology. Now I never want to speak to you again. Goodbye," I did it. I didn't breakdown. I didn't show him fear, and frankly, I didn't have much fear. I walk out of the cafe heading to the parking spot.
"Thank you for coming with me." He doesn't say anything, but he gives me a nod. That's some improvement. Right?
