While Silas was sleeping with Winnie, you and May left for the pet store. You bought a leash, collar, crate, bowls, food, and a little hat and sweater for him. You also get him tons of toys, including little Beatles, you were debating just keeping them for yourself.

When you came home you placed the bags on the floor and unpacked them. You set up the crate while May organized the rest. While you were trying to find the instruction your mom called you.

"Sylvia! I haven't heard from you in a while!" Your mom spoke.

You replied, "Yeah I'm sorry about that. I've been busy!"

You couldn't find the instructions so you just winged it, it seemed very self-explanatory. You propped two walls up trying to latch them together. The wire walls fell with a loud crash, ruining your progress.

"Shit!"

Your mom questioned, "What was that? Is everything okay?"

"Everything is fine, it was a cage. We found a stray dog and I'm just trying to get this thing built before he wakes up. But that crash probably got him up." You stated with a sigh, expressing your annoyance.

Your mom just let you vent while you were getting the crate set up. She liked to talk but she listened even better. You finally got it made and you stood up with your arms in the air in victory. Mom clapped and you bowed to no one.

You murmured to yourself, "Finally, that was so annoying." Then you yelled, "IT DIDN'T HAVE INSTRUCTIONS!"

"Well, I'm proud you even did it without them! Say, how's school going?" Your mom tried to change the subject.

You groaned, "It's online so it's easier but still annoying, but it will be worth it in the end. Art WHOO!"

"Okay! Keep it up. You should come to visit me when you have time, I haven't seen my little Syl in a while!"

"I will mom," You repeated, "I will."

"Hey, Eden!" May said to your mom.

Your mom greeted May, "You too May! Come see me! It gets lonely over here! Opal and I Have just been playing chess and doing gardening. Your sister misses you Syl."

Opal was your kid sister. She was 16 with brown hair and eyes. She was an aspiring poet. Opal wasn't an annoying sibling, she was kind and respectful. She understood the boundaries. She always would look out for you, even though she was younger. She was also really smart, she did well in school, but she didn't have many friends because she was quiet. That's why you were her closest friend, and you didn't even talk often.
