What the hell is that?

Days pass and I'm mostly sitting in my room, these two weeks off of doing school drag on, I haven't seen Sky for a couple of days, but then someone comes into my room, Riven, I look up at his confused, the girls gave up trying to get me out of my room, why was he here now? I also haven't spoken to him since that day,

"You're leaving this room," he says, coming up to my bed and grabbing my arm, I shake my head like a five year old child, "Get off your ass, we're going, stop being a pain" he says, I try to process his words, while I was distracted, he pulls me up. Don't get me wrong I don't know why I didn't want to leave my room, I just miss my sister, I wish I could tell her everything, but at least I talked to her everyday since I usually have classes when she's at home, and I got ahead in all my lessons.

"Where are we going?" I ask, while he's dragging me through the sitting area, all the girls look at us confused but he doesn't spare them a glance, I only shrug me shoulder, we arrive at the library,

"Who knew you were secretly a nerd!" I comment with a laugh, trailing behind him right to the corner of the library, "Hell nah! No one comes to the library during the holidays so it's the only place to get some quiet," he exclaims in fake offence, I laugh and he smiles.

We sit in the corner for hours, he tries to make me laugh, with succession most of the time, not being a dick for once in his life, he tells me a bit about his family, and I tell him about my sister, and the douche bags from my human school, he laughs, like genuinely.

"Nah I'm better than all of them, I'm hardcore," I laugh at all his comments while I blabber on about all these stories of home and he listens, actually listens.

"Since when are you not such an asshole?" I question and he pushes my shoulder, I let myself fall to the floor, "I miss those stupid ass comments," I say and moves over to look at my face, "No one has ever said that to me, everyone wants me to be nicer," he says, there's some pain behind his words,

"Well then they're not worth it, if you didn't say them fucked up things you wouldn't be you, and as much as you cross the line, which you should try not to cross, this is who you are, and you shouldn't change," I explain shrugging my shoulders, he doesn't say anything for a while, then loads of texts start pining my phone,

"All the roommates are going to think they're got another chance to keep my out of my room because of you," I say pushing him away playfully, he gets up and takes his bottle out and takes a swing, "You want some?" he smiles, probably remembering the first time he asked me that, I shake my head, "I should get going though, before my phone actually blows up," I say, he only nods, and after exiting the library we go our separate ways.

Over the next few days, I find myself hanging out with the girls more, and the free days are spend watching tv, playing card and board games, and the day of new years eve quickly arrives.

I sit in my room mid afternoon as always, just getting off of the phone with my sister, and I go back on my bed and start moving my hands around a bit, darkness starts forming, it's beautiful, it's like Stella's power of light but the opposite I think, Dowling still won't tell me what it is, but she tells me not to do it.

I move my palms slowly, seeing the darkness expand and move around in the air, it's like I'm holding the night sky between my hands, I don't see what could be so wrong or scary about it, I start making butterflies with the darkness, so mesmerized by the dark creatures that I don't see Stella and Musa walking in,

"What the hell is that?" Stella asks walking over, as soon as I lose concentration the magic disappears,

"Well I'm not sure myself, but Dowling said not to use that magic," the answer just flows out, I've keeping that secret for too long, they don't seem angry but confused, it's pretty unsual for one to have more than one power, not unheard of but certainly not common.
