The tops of buildings scraped the clouds as you and Todoroki made your way down crowded streets. It was a beautiful saturday, moderate temperatures and blue skies. The distance between the two of you stayed close, as not to lose each other. Still, everytime that your fingers brushed the butterflies that live in your stomach began to beat their wings violently. The sky began to grow orange as Todoroki led you through the nest of buildings. He wanted to show you something, he had said.

As the moon has begun to break through the horizon, the two of you arrive at a little shop in an ally. This place buzzed with life, laughter and warmth. Shoto walked towards the open shop, regulars waving him down and calling him.

"Hey, Todoroki! Haven't seen you around these parts in a while."

"Todoroki! What's our poker record again? I think I can best you this time!"

The teen scoffed. "Not in a million years old man."

You were surprised just how many people he knew that frequented this place as the two of you sat on the mismatch barstools. A gruff man looked across the counter at you two before coming over with a smile.

"Todoroki, my boy. Welcome back. Its been a while," His eyes drifted over to you, "I see you have yourself a little cutie. What's your name?"

"Uh... i-its-"

"No need to pester (Y/N) about their name. It doesn't matter." Shoto wore a small, warm smile. The tough looking man cocked an eyebrow, before brushing it off.

"So the usual, I assume. What for your companion here?"

"They'll be having the same. I keep on telling them how amazing your soba is, so now they get to really try it."

Wait... This is the place? When Todoroki had mentioned a place with world class soba you didn't think it was some joint in an alleyway! You had always assumed it was a 5 star restaurant that you'd never get to visit. But as the man disappeared into the kitchen in the back to prepare your dishes, you came upon the conclusion that this is, in fact, the soba spot he gushes about. The excitement that twinkled in his eyes every time he spoke about this place was amazing, but nothing compared to now. His passion for this restaurant knew no bounds.

"Brooklyn!" You could hear the man shouting the forgin name from the back as a dark skinned girl burst through the doors of the kitchen.

"Todoroki! I missed you!" Her accent was horrible.

"Hey, Brooklyn. I see your japanese has gotten better."

"Ah, yeah, well-"

"Brooklyn!"

"Just a moment longer old man! As I was saying, I've been practicing. You see, I-"

"BROOK-"

"Alright, alright! I'll talk to you later, that is, if you want to come back, Todoroki."

Shoto let out a small chuckle, "sure. No guaranteeing it'll be anytime soon." He teased. The girl scoffed and disappeared behind the swinging double doors the way she came. Soon enough, your dishes came out the back. Two Identical bowls, containing green tea zaru soba on a bamboo drainer, and some mentsuyu to share.

"Thanks, Satoz." The man smiled.

"No problem, kiddo." He reached over the counter and ruffled Shoto's hair. You laugh lightly at his reaction, looking similarly to a shocked cat. His eyes were wide but his brows furrowed, annoyance obvious on his tense figure. He swatted at the older man, which earned a chuckle from him.

The two of you ate, and you realized after your first bite that you wouldn't be able to stop until your plate was gone. A couple times you thought you saw Shoto looking at you, but you brushed it off, telling yourself that your mind was playing tricks on you. It wasn't.

When you both finished, your companion reached into his pocket for his wallet, and you did the same. He noticed and rose up his hand.

"It's fine, (Y/N). I'll pay for yours too."

"Actually," Satoz spoke, a smile decorating his scruffy face, "It's on the house. Consider this encouragement to come back sooner."

"Thanks. I'll be back sooner than you think. Are you ready to go, (Y/N)?"

"Yeah. Thank you, Mr..."

"Everyone just calls me Satoz here, no need for formalities." He says with a playful wink.

"Okay, thank you then, Satoz!" You say, following Todoroki out of the shop and back into the alleyway.

"So, you said that you had something to show me?"

"Yeah." You say, hooking your thumbs into seemingly nothing, and pulling a hole into thin air. Your quirk, wormhole, allows you to make an interdimensional bridge between your current location and anywhere you've ever been. It also allows you to store things in little pockets in space-time, making things last much longer than they normally would. Shoto raises his eyebrows in question.

"It's safe, don't worry. The jump might make you a little sick, though."

He nods and walks in, and you follow him in shortly after.

On the other side, you hear his breath catch in his throat. Stars. Stars as far as he can see. The field that you both stand in is as far away from a city as you could manage. You love stargazing, always have. You've learned constellations, the names of distant stars, and even the names of visible nebulae. You reach into a little wormhole and pull out a blanket. You place it on the plush grass, and grab Shoto's wrist to guide him to sit.

"Wow, (Y/N). This is amazing. When did you come here?"

"I used to stargaze with my grandmother when I was younger." You say, stuffing your pride of your late grandmother down. She used to work in the field of space sciences, and she taught you most of what you know. Todoroki's eyes danced around the stars, a smile tugging at his lips. As beautiful as the stars are, you couldn't look at them for too long at once, as your eyes always went back to your friend. Stupid heart, making you catch feelings. Though, you couldn't blame it.

The beautiful boy was in awe. All the stars in the sky couldn't describe how beautiful he looked right now. The glow of the celestial figures illuminating his skin and making his multicolored eyes glitter like gems. He glanced at you, his eyes flicking at the stars before he realized what you were doing. Staring.

"(Y/N)?" He spoke softly. You blink a couple of times. Now's the time, while he's in a good mood. You don't want to ruin the moment, but when else could you tell him? You take a deep breath and swallow hard.

"Todoroki, I- I don't want to make things weird between us, but I have to tell you something."

Your voice shook with anxiety.

"Don't worry, you're a close friend of mine. I'll listen to whatever you need to say."

"I think that you're an amazing person, and over the course of about six months, i've noticed how far my admiration really went. I- I like you. A lot. I didn't want to tell you because I don't want to make things weird, but-"

"It's alright. I was planning on telling you how I feel about you anyway. I share your feelings. I don't want to rush things, so if you don't think you're ready for anything, then that's fine. I'm just glad that we share feelings." His tone was warm and he was sort of quiet, but that didn't matter because you're on cloud nine. He likes you back? Is this a fairytale? Are you dreaming?

No, you're not, and you were brought back by the warmth of a hug. His arms wrapped around your chest, with his head over your shoulder. You hug back, appreciating the warmth coming from him. Neither of you wanted to let go, and somehow you ended up lying down on the blanket with his head resting on your chest. Todoroki seemed relaxed, and soon enough his breathing slowed and he drifted off into the calmest sleep that he's had in years. You pet his hair in a rhythmic fashion, and eventually you fell asleep too.
