"What do you think of this one?" Bree asks me, twirling around in yet another really cute dress.
"I think you look gorgeous in pretty much anything" I chuckle at her slightly. My lap is full of a pile of clothes she's already tried on.
"I think it's a yes" Bree grins back at me, before disappearing back in the changing room. After having our last class of the day together, the both of us decided to head to the mall. Today is Valentines Day and Bree really wanted to buy a new outfit for her date with Austin.
"Alright, I'm ready" she says grabbing the things she wants to buy out of my lap. "Thanks for helping me out" she adds, once she's back from the checkout.
"No problem. What do you guys have planned for tonight anyway?" I ask her, as we leave the store.
"First dinner and then we're just heading back to Austin's place" she grins at me, raising her eyebrows at me playfully. I chuckle at her. It's Valentines Day, I know exactly what their plans are. "What about you guys?" she asks me back, as we stroll through the mall.
"I haven't talked to Jace yet, I have no idea to be honest" I say, checking my phone for the millionth time today. Still no message or word from him.
"Alright then. I have one last store and then we can head out. Still need to get a little present for Austin" Bree says, as we stop in front of Victorias Secret. She raises her eyebrows at me for the second time today. I laugh out loud and enter the store with her. Bree heads right over to the lingerie. "Ooh, I like this one" she says, taking a tiny piece of fabric off of the rack.
"I wish I had your confidence" I say, secretly admiring her for having the guts to wear something like this in front of Austin. Of course I'd love to do something similar for Jace, but I know that I couldn't pull it off.
"You'd rock this, you should try it on!" she encourages me.
"No, this one's all you" I tell her, ushering her towards the changing room. I let out a little sigh of relief when she doesn't urge me to put it on any further. Seconds later she reappears, only opening the curtain slightly.
"What do you think?" she asks me, almost sounding a little shy. I look at her petite body, the lingerie fits her perfectly.
"You look amazing. You should definitely get it" I smile at her encouragingly.
Bree squeals back at me. "Thank you, I'll be right back" she says. When the curtain opens, she's ready to head to the checkout once more. "Austin will be picking us up, he's almost here. We can head to the exit if you want" Bree says, when we leave the store.
"Sounds good" I answer and we continue our chit chat until we step out of the mall.
"You know, I think you have plans after all" Bree says, smirking at me. I look at her with a confused face, until she points towards the parking lot. Slowly following her direction, I see Jace's car parked right next to Austin's, the two of them leaning against his Audi Q5.
