"Don't add too much water. You wanna make it nice and thick." Johnny instructed. Like Johnny had told them yesterday, all the kids met at the address he gave them, which turned out to be an old construction site. Y/N and Miguel weren't even surprised at this point by where he takes them to "train". Currently, they were all mixing concrete for some reason.

"Sensei, why are we mixing cement?" Miguel panted as he lifted a shovel full of cement out of a barrel. "No questions" Johnny stated. Y/N groaned and got back to work helping Aisha mix the cement. Her muscles were straining since they weren't used to this type of work. Y/N glanced over at Miguel and the two locked eyes. Miguel gave her a comforting smile before returning to work. Y/N looked away, her own smile on her face. "Keep stirring!" Johnny demanded before walking over to Kreese.

Y/N didn't how she felt about Kreese. Johnny must have at least trusted him a little if he let him into the dojo and Y/N always respected Johnny's judgment but something was off about the man. Maybe it was the one he bombarded Y/N with questions or maybe it was just his overall presence, she couldn't be sure.

Suddenly the sound of honking caught everyone's attention making them all look up. A cement truck was pulling into the worksite, the person driving blaring their horn. The truck came to a stop and a man in a construction uniform hopped out. He went up to Johnny and greeted him before handing him the keys and walking away. The kids all exchanged confused looks.

Johnny called all the kids over to the truck and made them line up. "You think winning the All Valley gives you the right to goof off? Well, I got news for you. Winning one championship don't mean squat. A true champion never stops training. You gotta keep moving forward...or else you could get stuck exactly where you are. It's like the cement in this truck. That drum doesn't start turning, the cement inside will harden and get stuck. Is that what you want to happen to you?" Johnny asked. "No, Sensei!" The kids replied in unison. "Good. Then climb up, get inside, and make it spin."

The kids all started muttering confused. Was he being serious? Miguel and Y/N exchanged worried looks. They knew he was being serious and they also knew that if they went in there, they could get really hurt. "Sensei, we're sorry for messing around." Aisha apologized. "We learned our lesson," Hawk added. Johnny didn't care. He walked over to the truck and pulled the latter down. "Get in!" He demanded angrily.

"Sensei, this seems kind of dangerous." Y/N piped up. "Yeah, I mean the fumes alone-" Miguel started. "Quiet!" Kreese shouted, making Miguel stop. "This man led you to the mountaintop, and you question him? Look at you. Look at all of you. I can't believe this pathetic pack of pussies compete in the All Valley and let alone won. It's an absolute miracle. And who's responsible for that miracle? Johnny Lawrence. The best student in the history of Cobra Kai. My student." Kreese rambled off, making Y/N tense up. His words were filled with something, something she couldn't place. They held some type of malice behind them and Y/N didn't like it.

"You were sensei's sensei?" Hawk asked. "You better believe it kid. And I tell you I've never trained a tougher student in my whole life. So, if you what's good for you, you better listen to every goddamn word he says." Kreese replied with a grin. Y/N look up at Miguel again and he had a look of determination on his face. Miguel looked down at her and he nodded, grabbing her hand. They were gonna do this. For Johnny.

"We'll do it Sensei," Miguel stated, holding up his and Y/N's joined hands. Johnny smiled at them gratefully. The two walked over to the ladder and started climbing, Hawk, Aisha, and other students behind them. When Miguel and Y/N reached the drum, they looked inside and their jaws dropped. "Holy shit." Y/N breathed. Wet concrete covered the bottom, while more concrete lined the walls. This was going to be difficult.

With their hands still linked, Y/N and Miguel slowly slid into the drum before slipping into the concrete, the concrete stopping just below their waist. "You ok?" Miguel asked Y/N. Y/N nodded. "You ready?" She asked. "Let's do this." He replied.

The two, unfortunately, let go of each other's hands and made their way over to the side of the drum, wet concrete stuck to their clothes. Hawk was the next one in and he stumbled over to the two, careful to not get his feet stuck. Soon the other kids joined them and they all stood there. "Don't just stand there. You wanna get stuck? Move!" Johnny demanded, peeking his head into the drum. The kids slowly walked over to the side of the drum and put their hands against it.

They all started trying to push, the wet concrete dripping onto their hands while their feet slid beneath them. They all tried pushing on their own, no one was doing it at the same time. "Come on guys, push!" Miguel encouraged trying to motivate everyone. "Let's all do it at the same," Y/N suggested. The group nodded. "1..2..3!"

The kids all started pushing at the same time making the drum start to slowly move. "Come guys faster!" Johnny yelled from the outside of the truck. "Come guys keep pushing!" Hawk yelled. The kids all grunted in pain and frustration as they worked together to get the drum rolling. The drum started to move faster and the kids pushed harder and harder, getting covered in wet concrete."We're doing it!" Miguel shouted excitedly. "There you go! Good job guys!" Johnny praised.

Soon Johnny made them all stop and climb out. He pulled out a hose and started spraying them down, trying to get rid of any concrete. "You guys should be proud of yourselves. I know I'm proud. Your parents would be proud too if you told them what we did here today, which we won't." Johnny said, glancing around the group. Y/N rolled her eyes. The only thing my parents would be proud of is if I got stuck in the truck. "You pushed forward like champions. Never stopping. Never being satisfied. Never giving up. And if you keep pushing and keep moving forward, your gonna go to places you never even dreamed of."

Johnny sprayed Y/N with the hose, making her shiver at the cold water. Soon the kids started to leave, leaving just Kreese, Y/N, Miguel, and Johnny. "Good job today, kids. Didn't think you had it in ya." Kreese complimented. Miguel smiled proudly while Y/N nodded.  "Well, I think I better get going."

Kreese left, leaving the three. "So what'd you think of the lesson?" Johnny asked the two kids. "I think we could've died is what I think." Y/N scoffed, crossing her arms. Johnny furrowed his eyebrows. "What do you mean?" He asked. "Wet concrete had toxins in it that can burn the skin. And not to mention if the concrete had dried because we couldn't move it. We would've all died from dehydration due to a mix of the toxins and the concrete causing chemical burns." Y/N explained, making the two look at her surprised. "What? I know stuff." She stated, looking at their shocked faces.

"I-I didn't know all that." Johnny stammered. "Yeah well next time, do your research. See ya tomorrow." She spat before walking to her bike and taking off. She wasn't angry at Johnny, she was just annoyed at the whole situation. Ever since Kreese had come into the picture, he'd been acting differently. He was almost becoming an entirely different person.

Y/N arrived at Miyagi-Do and parked her bike before walking in through the gate. Just as she walked in, Robby was walking out of the dojo. "Hey. Why are you covered in concrete?" He asked. "Why are you soaking wet?" Y/N fired back. "Funny story." He replied. "I bet mine is funnier."
