Sunday | June 30th

It was a Sunday afternoon and Benji found himself sitting in the car outside of his boss' home. It was a new place, that he'd never even been too. This man had to have about five houses in this state alone. He was wealthy and it showed. Benji aspired to be like him one day, in many ways. It was coming soon.

Benji sighed as he checked his phone. He'd been in the car outside of the house for the past ten minutes, debating if he wanted to go in or not. The boss gave him little detail on why he was here, so he was goin inside blind and not knowing what to expect, which he hated. A part of him just wanted to leave and say he wasn't able to make it, but then he'd never know what the inside held for him. He was very curious.

He wasn't in a good mood today. In fact, it had just been a bad week for Benji altogether. Since Layton had texted him she made it home, she hadn't spoke to him since. He'd reached out to her, but she never hit him back so he decided to let her be. In the mean time, he'd been working his ass off. He'd gotten his DNA sample taken and so had Maleah yesterday, so now all they had to do was wait a few days for them to get the results back. Benji was anxious to know if he was indeed about to be a father or not, but he had stopped thinking about it until there was no choice.

After another couple of minutes passed, he'd finally made a move to go inside. He'd might as well get it over with, so he can go home to his humble Adobe.
As Benji opened the door, he immediately started to look around the luxurious place he'd walked into. It was definitely a palace and BG admired it. The boss caught eye of him and immediately made his way to the door to greet BG, who only wanted to turn back.

"BG, my main man. I'm glad you could make it for the brunch." The boss smiled as he walked up to his worker. The two of them slapped hands, but Benji's face still resembled a look of confusion while in his head swirled nothing other than uncertainty on this.

"What's all this?" Benji questioned with a frown.

"It's just some we do quarterly. A family brunch just to stay acquainted and keep up with everybody. It'll be fun, come on in let me show you around here."

"Where the rest of the niggas at?" Benji inquired. It wasn't many people here and he'd noticed that he'd been the only person that worked for the boss here.

"It's just you today kid. Relax, they don't bite." The boss chuckled as he usher Benji further inside of the home. BG wore a frown on his face wondering why he was the only worker in attendance today. He had wanted to ask, but decided against it once he caught eye of someone approaching him, some young kid.

"Aye pops!" The boy called out as he eventually got right in front of where they were standing. Jace was giving Benji a strange look, which BG didn't like. It was easy for the boss to notice and quickly spoke.

"Oh shit. BG this is my son Jace. Jace this is BG, he works for me and helps me run Miami." The two of them shared an uneasy look between one another. It was strange. Jace wasn't feeling BG already and the shady vibes was easy for BG to pick up on himself.

"So, you the nigga that's been running Miami."

"Yea, that would've been me." BG confirmed trying to see what Jace was trying to get at. The vibes he'd been giving off made Benji regret coming. This was obviously a family gathering and he couldn't give a fuck about being in here meeting this man's family.
