Bell POV
Oh shoot! I woke up late! I hope I have enough time to harvest all the crops. I need to hurry up and run to the farm!
"Hello Bell!" A voice called out
"Oh hello Mr. Myuki!" Bell called out
"Are you going to the farm?" Mr. Myuki asked
"Yes! It's harvest season after all!" Bell said
"Be careful! The village had reported seeing a massive mud slide near the area, not to mention the monsters that have been showing up lately" Mr. Myuki said
"Don't worry! I'll be safe! I better get going!" Bell said before running off
Bell was running his way to the farm, it would have been a smart idea to live more closer, but with all the monsters it made it dangerous. The farm was a good 1 hour walk from his out, if he were to run he could possibly make it in 30-45 minutes. He was about to reach the farm until he was ambushed
"Crap! What are hellhounds doing all the way up here!?" Bell said
"There's no way I can fight these, I have to run" Bell thought
He was running trying to keep his distance, he managed to keep a decent distance between him and the hellhounds until he slipped and fell down a muddy slope. He kept on falling until he finally reached the bottom of it.
"Is this how I die?" Bell asked himself
"Boy, do you wish for power?" A voiced asked
"Who said that!?" Bell asked
"Answer the question do you wish for power?" The voice asked again
"Y..Yes" Bell said
Bell then lost consciousness. When he woke up he was in a darkened room, until he saw 2 colors a gold one and a red one. The colors moved closer before materializing, the light had became a silhouette of Bell
"Tell us boy, what do you wish to do with your power?" The Gold one asked
"Do you wish to use it to save others?" The gold one continued
"Or do you wish to use it for your own use" the red one asked
"I wish to use it for others! I wish to be a hero for everyone!" Bell said
The red and gold silhouette smiled
"Very well boy, call out my name and I shall assist you, Welcome Bell Cranel, the Last Wielder of Excalibur.
The room was engulfed in a bright light and all of a sudden Bell woke up.
When he woke up he had seen that the hellhounds had found a way down
"Was that a dream!?"
"No boy, do not mistaken me with you dreams, now call out my name if you wish to survive" a voice in his head said
"Excalibur!" Bell said
A bright light engulfed him and now he was suddenly holding a sword, Bell ran at the hellhounds as if he knew what to do, inside his head he was wondering why he rushed at the monsters, he had no knowledge on how to use a sword.
Just like second nature Bell began to dodge and swing the sword killing the monsters
"How did I do that!" Bell asked out loud
"That would be my doing, I transferred the basic knowledge of swordsmanship to you" the voice said
"Basic!? How is that basic if I manage to kill 3 hellhounds with one swing!?" Bell asked
"Silence boy, we must get out of here first" the voice said
"Okay. I believe if I continue going forward I should find a hill I can climb" Bell said
Time Skip
Bell had finally made it out, it looked like it was the afternoon. He ran back home so that he can talk to the voice in his head
"So what should I call you" Bell asked
"Just call me Excalibur" The voice said
"Okay Excalibur I have a question" Bell said
"I may or may not have an answer" Excalibur said
"What are you?" Bell asked
"I'm the legendary sword Excalibur, have you not heard of the legends?" Excalibur said
"I was originally wielded by King Arthur"
"King who?" Bell said
"Hmm, this is certainly interesting, where are we?" Excalibur asked
"We are in a small village just west of Orario" Bell said
"What is Orario?"
"Orario is a labyrinth city, the only city to have a dungeon in it" Bell said
"Very well, we must go to Orario than" Excalibur said
"Wait why!?"
"I am a sword, not a farmer, I don't even have a psychical body" Excalibur said
"But why Orario?"
"You said it yourself boy, it is the only city that has a dungeon in it"
"Fine, you win. When shall I pack?" Bell asked
"Tonight, we must reach Orario in 2 days" Excalibur said
"W..Wait! Why do soon?" Bell asked
"You are now my wielder, the moment you have accepted me was the moment your fate sealed. I shall make you the greatest hero of this age." Excalibur said
