As I followed her down a staircase in the grand staircase chamber. As I looked up, I saw thousands of paintings and portraits going from what seemed to be the ceiling all the way down to the floor. As we got to a small landing, another staircase leading down to the dungeons connected to the landing we were on, Pansy stepped onto it and carried on walking down the stairs ushering me to follow her, "come on before it moves again!" she said as she hurried down the stairs.

We finally got to the bottom floor and headed down a corridor that would lead us to the dungeons, suddenly, Pansy stopped in front of a bare stone wall. I quirked an eyebrow at her and she gave me a sly smile, "pure-blood" she said as she turned to look at me.

I heard a rumbling noise coming from the wall then I saw the stone bricks move aside to create a small doorway, my eyes widened as I noticed a small passage behind what used to be the bare wall. "this is our common room entrance. The password is pure-blood, if you tell it to anyone you will get in deep shit." She giggled and walked down the passage which led to a large arched door. As we approached, it started to open and a slight green hue was emitted from the room.

As we entered the common room and walked down the steps to the main area my eyes landed on a group of students sat on dark wooden chairs decorated with emerald green velvet cushions around a circular table. My eyes wandered over to the fire which was crackling under an elaborately carved mantelpiece, the stone fireplace had a carving of the Slytherin crest above the mantle. In front of the fireplace there were two black button-tufted leather sofas facing one another, behind them on my left was a dark wooden desk with a quill and ink next to a few books and parchment, it seemed as all of the chairs were of the same design as the ones sat around the circular table, it was slightly moved out at an angle which made me think a student had just left the desk before we arrived. To the right of me there was a small dark table with a half-played wizards' chess set placed upon it which was next to a dark wooden cupboard. There were medieval tapestries covering parts of the rough stone walls. The low ceiling had round, greenish lamps hanging on chains. As we walked further in the room, I could see out the windows into the black lake, there was a small school of fish swimming through the seaweed as they passed the window. "hey come this way, your room is just here." Pansy whispered so she wouldn't disturb the students at the round table.

As I turned the corner down a short hallway that led to a stairwell that split off at the top, the left leading to the girls' dormitory and the right to the boys'. Pansy stopped at a small arched door that was located to the left of the hallway around six feet from the stairs. "This is your room and don't worry snape charmed it so only you can open it. Oh, and whoever you invite in can also open it. I'll meet you on the sofa in ten minutes I'm going to get changed, see you soon." she smiled and walked up the stairs.

I opened the door and saw one of the cosiest looking beds I've ever seen, the pillows looked so fluffy and the duvet looked like it could smother me it was that thick. The bedding was forest green cotton sheets. The bedframe looked antique and had light grey button-tufted cushioned headboard with a dark oak trim which matched the wooden beams that connect the matching footboard. Next to the queen-sized bed was a dark wooden nightstand with a small silver clock facing the bed. There was a chest of drawers which matched the other dark wooden furniture, it was opposite the bed to my right with a full-length mirror next to a small window which looked out onto the black lake. There was a small fire heater next to my drawers, which had a small black pipe leading out its top into the ceiling to make sure the room doesn't fill with smoke.

Next to my bed was another door which I opened and led to a small room; it was my bathroom. The walls were stone but the room didn't feel cold, as you walk in the sink cabinet was straight in front of the door with a rectangle mirror above it. The toilet was next to the sink, next to that was a small shower cubicle in the corner and a cast iron bathtub was placed along the wall. Behind the bathroom door was a small towel rack with a towel already hanging from it. I walked back into my bedroom, unpacked my clothes and got changed into a black turtleneck top, black and white plaid pleated skirt, fishnet tights and black knee-high boots.

As I was about to leave and meet Pansy in the common room, I heard a knock at my door, "come in!" I shouted as I crouched down and shoved my empty trunk under my bed. My door opened and my head snapped up, "oh, it's you." I said in shock as I stood up, "expecting someone else?" the blonde boy quizzed as he shut the door.

I hurried round my bed and closed my bottom drawer with my foot before he could catch a glimpse of my underwear. Unfortunately for me, he already did. As I looked back up at him with blushed cheeks, I saw him smirk but he quickly did a fake cough to hide it, "as a reply to your previous question, no. I wasn't expecting someone else, and even if I was, I definitely wouldn't expect you." He held his chest and pretended to be hurt by my response, "why did you even come to my room?" I asked as I reached around him for my door handle but he caught my arm and pushed it back down to my side, "well, I was intrigued when I heard you got your own room so I thought to come check it out." he muttered into my ear and I shuddered as I felt his breath on my neck.

He stepped past me to look around my room but as he moved from the door, I quickly opened it, grabbed his arm and dragged him out. Shutting the door behind me. "what was that for?" he snarled pulling his arm from my grasp, "if I can't look around your room, you can't look around mine-" he laughed and leaned into my ear, "if you want to look around my room all you have to do is ask." he whispered so nobody could hear it, "no, no I didn't mean it like that." I tried to correct my previous sentence but all he did was smirk at me. I sighed and we both headed towards the sofas.

I saw Pansy tilt her head and look at Draco quickly then back at me, I'm guessing she saw the both of us come from my room so I shook my head and mouthed a "no". I sat down on the sofa next to her and saw Blaise was sat across from her so I gave him a smile, "I'm gonna have to borrow that skirt off you, it's gorgeous!" she said while feeling the material of my skirt, "any time as long as you give me it back." I joked. "So, how come Draco was in your room?" Blaise chimed in with a twinkle of suspicion in his eyes, "he wanted to be nosy and look around my room." I said with an eye roll as Draco chuckled in the background at my answer, "well you're the only student with your own room so of course I'm gonna be nosy." he stated.

We sat in to common room and talked for two hours about loads of things like what's the school like and who are the best teachers, we also talked about our families but I only mentioned my mum and my dad but there wasn't much to talk about him because he died before I was born. The clock had hit ten and we all got up to go to bed, ready for our first day off lessons tomorrow. "Night guys!" I yawned as I opened my door, "night." Pansy and Blaise said in sync as they headed up the stairs.

I was just about to close my door when a foot stopped me shutting my door, I peeked through the gap and saw Draco and his signature smirk as we made eye contact, "what do you want now Draco?" I asked as I opened my door a little more. "All I wanted to do was wish you sweet dreams." he chuckled as he closed my door for me.

Well, that was weird I thought as I went over to my drawers to get changed into a teal cami top and cream drawstring shorts. I clambered into bed and snuggled up to the fluffy pillows and fell asleep.
