My summer break ended a month ago but since I was in the hospital, sipping up all my pain, this is the first day for me.

Everyone was chilling around with their friends, more like a family. Today is the school fest and loud music is being played. But here I am, all alone.

'I am still with you.'

I heard a voice and smiled at myself. This sound was made from my heart.

There is no one by my side. There is no one I remember. But why I feel there is someone I miss? Why am I sensing that my heart is beating for someone? Why I feel that someone somewhere is waiting for me? Why I feel loved?

I walked to my locker, started stacking my notebooks when I saw a sticky note on it with some flowers kept inside.

'You know what white flowers resemble? It means that I'll try my best for you and I am trying my best to give you the life and love you deserve.'

I smiled and closed it. The moment I looked the other way, a guy was heading towards me with a charming smile.

He was tall, had eyes which were dazzled with wonder over a friendly smile. The aquiline nose he sported, complimented his prominent cheekbones. And my favourite feature, his concrete jaws. They could slice me down on the spot. Kinda handsome, reaching my standards.

Music of the sound suddenly increased with my heartbeat. I touched my chest to calculate the acceleration of my stupid heart.

"A swan pendant?", I looked down and a pendant shaped in a swan with a pink crystal belly was hanging on my neck. I felt a different kind of warmth just by touching it.

'Its been said and done. Every beautiful thought been already sung. And I guess right now here's another one. So your melody will play on and on, with the best of them.'

Melodies entering my sober ears made my heart skip another beat. I felt an electric current running through my body.

'You are beautiful, like a dream come alive, incredible. A centrefold, miracle, lyrical. You saved my live again. And I want you to know baby.'

"I-I love you like a love song baby. And I keep hitting re-peat-peat-peat-peat-peat," he approached me while singing the lyrics.

"Excuse me?", I seriously get pissed off when strangers start flirting.

"Oh hi! Dhriti, how are you feeling now?", he asked in a cheerful manner.

"Sorry, I didn't recognise you."

"It's the first time you are seeing me so it's obvious that you won't recognise me," he laughed. "Well, I used to come to see you in the hospital."

"Oh, thank you for your concern," I bowed.

"Hey you don't need to be formal, ok?", his smile is infectious.

'Constantly, boy you played through my mind like a symphony. There's no way to describe what you do to me. You just do to me. What you do...and it feels like I've been rescued. I've been set free. I'm hypnotized by your destiny.'

"You are magical, lyrical, beautiful. You are....," the lyrics spelled out of my mouth like honey.

"You said something?", he smirked.

"N-No," I said hesitatingly.

"Well, Dhriti it's quite noisy here with music and chaos. Everyone is shouting. Would you like to go to your favourite place under that tree?", his eyes sparkled and sprinkled care.

"How do you know about it?", I got amused by his statement.

"I guess I've learnt quiet a lot about you in the last thirty days. Sleeping beauty!"

"Knowing me is not easy. It can even take your whole life time to understand me!", I exclaimed.

"That's what I want. I want to know more about you everyday."

"Being cheesy huh?", I smirked.

"Yes, with cherry tomatoes," he showed his boxy cute smile. "Wanna be swan mates for life?"

"Haha... we'll see."

"We will," he blushed. "By the way, I heard you don't have friends. I am also a friendless transferee. Can we enjoy this fest together?"

"Only if you buy me smoky grilled chicken," I licked my lips.

"Sure then. Get ready and come downstairs near the basketball ground," he said and started taking steps towards the other direction. "I will wait for you."

"Ok," I locked my locker. "Wait! What's your name?"

He turned back and made a finger heart, "it was nice meeting you Dhriti. I hope we will meet again. And my name is already engraved in your heart."

Seeing my confused expressions, he spoke again, "my name is Lee Ye Jun."

'Music to my heart, that's what you are. A song that goes on and on.'
