The Bug

I spent the next few days on my computer. I moved around the tower, changing between my room, the couch, the kitchen table, and even occasionally the roof. I couldn't stay in one place for too long.

In only two days I had found a map of the building, security footage, a list of weapons and a list of those in charge for the building at the coordinates we had found a few days ago.

By analyzing the security footage I determined how long each guard stayed where, when they switched out, and what kind of weapons they had.

Now i sat on the roof at around noon, allowing the cool breeze to whip my hair around. My only issue now was figuring out how to get inside. Unlike any other HYDRA base the building was above ground nor did it had a secret shed doorway.

The underground building showed to be about 10 miles away from a small town. I switched over to security footage from the town. I clicked through the traffic cams trying to find any familiar faces. It takes awhile but eventually I recognize a man. He was a part of the 3:00 guard. I followed him as he walks across the street and into a small bookstore.

I tilt my head and watch the time go by on the tape at a time lapse speed. The man doesn't exit the building until later that night. I grin.

There must have been some secret password to be let in underground or something like that. All I had to do was figure out what it was. Lucky for me I had the perfect idea.

I close my laptop and hop up from the ground where I had been sitting. I gleefully walk back into the tower and find Steve.

"Ok so I think i've got everything figured out except for the password to get in." I exclaim leaning against the kitchen counter.

Steve turns around from the sink and smiles. "What password?"

"Ok so it's actually pretty crazy. The whole building is underground. It's about 10 miles out from a small town. In this small town there's a bookstore where all the HYDRA people disappear into for hours or even days at a time. I'm guessing there's a password, but I don't know what it is." I sigh.

He pulls a towel off of his shoulder and tosses it onto the counter. "Ok so then maybe we find some way to place a bug on one or two of the guys and try and figure it out that way? You think you'd be able to recognize them?" He asks leaning in towards me.

"Yea i'm pretty sure I could. I've been watching these guys for days." I laugh.

"Ok so you think tomorrow we'll be good to go and place the bugs?" He asks pushing off the counter.

I grin. "I think so, just check with everyone else."

He places a kiss of my forehead and walks out of the room to find Tony. I open up my computer again. There was a small timer in the bottom left corner. It was almost to zero, probably only had two days left until the device went out. We had to act quick.

Later that day Steve confirms with everyone that tomorrow would be the day we act with the bugs. I would stay in the back of a van with Steve while Sam 'bumped' into the HYDRA guys and placed the bugs. He was the least known one of the group to HYDRA. I would watch from security footage to identify the men and watch Sam's back. Steve was going to be there for backup.

I'm talking with Sam later that night and we're kind of arguing.

"I already said no, it's not a toy." Sam says.

"Don't be lame Wilson cmon." I protest.

He turns his head and faces me with a confused look on his face. "I'm not lame!" Hs argues.
