Iroh II x reader Meeting the family

"They'll love you." Iroh reassured Y/n.

"Iroh, no joke, I think I'm going to puke."

"You'll be fine." He laughed.

Y/n stared at the palace door.

The entrance soon opened revealing, Firelord Izumi.

She glared down at Y/n. This woman was insanely tall.

"Nice to meet you Ms. Firelord Izumi." Y/n bowed.

Firelord Izumi deeply laughed. "I like her, already Iroh, good job."

Y/n let out a breathy laugh. Thank spirits.

"Follow me." Firelord Izumi said as the pair followed her into the huge palace.

Y/n looked around. "Wow," she gasped. "This place is beautiful."

Izumi only chuckled in response.

"Nervous to meet my father?" Izumi asked after laughing.

Y/n broke a sweat.

"Don't be, he has the kindest soul." Izumi reassured.

They soon made it to the dining table as Zuko was waiting for them.

The family exchanged hugs and kisses before Y/n approached Zuko.

"Oh my spirits, hello, I'm Y/n, I'm your grandsons girlfriend, Mr. Firelord Zuko." Y/n nervously bowed.

Zuko let out a deep chuckle and then a few coughs. "I like her."

Okay, these people really are related.

Everyone sat down as they were served the best food in the Fire Nation.

"So how did you guys meet?" Zuko asked.

"We met in republic city." Y/n answered. "Iroh was being the generous man he is, helping out the avatar. I soon bumped into him at my family's restaurant."

Iroh laughed remembering the memory. "Yeah, I forgot my wallet and Y/n insisted it was on the house, she didn't even know who I was, can you believe it?"

"Oh really now?" Izumi rose her eyebrow.

"Yeah, actually. I wasn't really taught the history of the Fire Nation growing up, so I didn't really know about Iroh and you guys until a couple years ago when I met Iroh." Y/n smiled.

"You fell in love with my son without knowing he was the prince of the Fire Nation?" Izumi asked.

Y/n innocently shook her head yes.

Izumi slightly smiled. "I love that."

"When are you marrying this girl?" Zuko asked.

Iroh and Y/n both blushed.

"Dad, she hasn't passed the test yet?"

"Test?" Y/n asked.

"Do you like tea?" Zuko, Izumi, and Iroh all asked.

Y/n looked at them astonished, but finally found her voice. "Who doesn't love tea."

"Welcome to the family." Zuko smiled, handing a cup of tea to Y/n.

Y/n fake sipped the tea. "This is delicious."

Zuko only nodded in response.

Y/n then whispered into Iroh's ear. "I wonder what they'd think, when they realize I'm allergic to tea."

"Let's not find out." Iroh responded.
