// Happy late Valentines day! If you didn't already cry enough today, here's some non-Valentines day related SBI angst! :] Most of this story is based around Floriography, which is something I'm very interested in. There's a website for flowers and their meanings, if you'd like to learn or decipher each flower I put in the story. The website I used is called allflorists.co.uk and under the Help and Advice category at the top, there will be a link under the General Information tab called Flower Meanings - 'Floriography'. Click on that, and there you go! Enjoy everybody! <3 \\

Tommy had been sitting on the top of his home, legs dangling near the doorway, hands supporting him as he leaned back. For the first time in seven years, he allowed himself to relax and for all of his troubles to be blown away like leaves in the wind.|
Behind him was a small, fenced in garden. Despite what most, if not all, would say, Tommy was trying to be gentler. He was trying to express his positive emotions better, and he was trying to be on good terms with everybody. Of course it was a rocky road of recovery, he had grown up on turf whose roots were throbbing with betrayal and unfulfilled promises. Disregarding this, he decided it was finally time to try and be better.
He did, in fact, ignore the hate-filled glares from Niki, someone he had once viewed as a sister, and the plotting smirk of Jack's, an old supposed ally.

Tommy glanced behind him at his flourishing garden. He was growing as many flowers, and trees, as he could, rows of heartsease pansies and myrtles. To the left and right of his house, he had grown even more flowers. The flowers to his left were a little farther away due to his carrots, but he didn't mind. Compass flowers decorated the inside of his grassy hill house, and ivy hung from the sides.
With a deep inhale, the fragrant scents of the flowers filling his once ash-coated lungs. He stood and collected a few flowers from each of his gardens, roots included so they could be replanted, before gathering spare soil and putting a generous scoop in a clean vase. Tommy had somebody he wanted to visit today, even if they definitely didn't want to see him.
With a soft hum, he adjusted the gray bandana that sat snugly against his neck and set off on his way.
If he wore the glaucous-colored royal cape on his way to his destination, there were no witnesses.
If he stopped by his hand-made unofficial grave for Wilbur and planted alliums to the overgrown site, there were no witnesses.

His pink knuckles rapped against the spruce door gently. He snuck a glance at the vase in his backpack to make sure none of the flowers were crushed before slinging it back over his shoulders and adjusting his cape.
"Who is-" a familiar piglin-hybrid swung open the door and stared down, his face shifting from his usual stone-face to a swift look of surprise, then furrowed eyebrows and a snort.
"You're back. What, did you get exiled again? If you did, you're on your own here, bud," Technoblade began, shifting his weight to lean on the doorway.
"I wasn't exiled again, actually," Tommy huffed gently, glancing away, "I came to technically give you some-"
"Techno!" a voice from inside called.
"-thing," Tommy's voice died on his tongue as Technoblade turned away to look behind him.
"Yeah?"
A friend popped into view.
"Oh! Hi, Tommy!"
"Hello, Ranboo," the blonde gave him a soft nod before stepping off the steps, Techno and Ranboo stepping outside.
"Why're you here?" Ranboo smiled, his red and green eyes emitting a soft glow.
"I came here to give Techno something. However, I might have something for you, too," Tommy smiled, a true smile not many had seen very often due to recent events.
Ranboo let out a chirp of happiness, "That's great! We actually were about to head to a spawner to test something, want to come with?"
Tommy glanced to meet Techno's eyes momentarily. They were flashing with unsaid words, from you better not to I suppose it's fine. Before the piglin could intervene, Tommy nodded.
"Awesome! Follow us."

So he did. Tommy followed the two through the cold biomes, Ranboo chattering away mindlessly as the youngest trailed behind them wordlessly. At one point, the conversation died down and Tommy could hear Techno whispering to the enderman hybrid.
"He's been awfully quiet," he could hear from the oldest.
"Maybe he has a lot on his mind?" Ranboo suggested kindly.
"That's Tommy we're talking about," Techno shot back, "If he has something on his mind, he'll tell you."
"He's been through a lot," the taller mrrp'ed, "Give him some time to think about everything."
"I appreciate your concern," the youngest cleared his throat, "But I'm fine, dickhead."
That gained a chuckle from the two as they stopped in their tracks and began to descend to a staircase below.
"This is what we wanted to figure out," Ranboo cleared his throat, "My hands work as endermen's do, so I can pick up grass blocks and stuff without disturbing the soil as someone else would. Um, we're checking if I can pick up a spawner!"
"Cool, d'you think it'll work?"
Techno shook his head and Ranboo shrugged.
"We don't know, but we're willing to try!"
Tommy nodded as they finally arrived at the spawner. Torches were placed carefully around it, preventing any of the monsters to actually spawn. Ranboo rubbed his hands together carefully before gently scooping up the spawner.
With a huff, he was able to pick the spawner up. Usually, if spawners are attempted to be mined or carried, they immediately break or fall apart. However, in Ranboo's delicate enderman hands, the spawner stayed in one piece, and was functional!
Techno gasped and let out a loud, supportive yeahhhh! as Ranboo laughed. They cheered as Tommy let out a soft chuckle. He wouldn't admit it, but it was good to see Technoblade gaining other hobbies that made him happy that didn't involve mercilessly destroying places that held value and meaning.
"Ranboo, you're the best!" Technoblade smiled, his pig ears perking as he grabbed the taller's shoulders and shook him, "Ranboo, you're my best friend!"
With those simple words, Tommy could feel his heart sink to his stomach.

As they exited the spawner room, Ranboo tucked away the spawner into his own backpack. They were still laughing and bubbling with excitement, however Tommy was less enthusiastic, to say the least.
"Tommy, wasn't that awesome?" Ranboo turned to the shorter, who was staring down at his dirtied sneakers.
The two stared at the boy as a harsh gust of wind blew by.
"Tommy?"
"Yeah," there was a gentle sniff as Tommy's hands gripped the edge of his shirt, "Yeah, that was really cool."
The enderman let out a soft mrrp and teleported in front of Tommy, kneeling in front of the younger.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Ranboo frowned as Tommy shook his head.
"Sorry. I shouldn't have come," with another sniffle, the younger dropped to his own knees and grabbed his backpack. Techno watched them carefully, drawing his axe in case Tommy tried anything.
The piglin ignored the voices that shouted hug him! or he's crying, brotherblade!
Instead of drawing a weapon, the blonde began to bring flowers out of his backpack. Technoblade was only a bit educated on the whole floriography thing, he had read about some flowers a few months ago. He could hardly identify any of the flowers the boy was handing to Ranboo.
"These are for you," Tommy's eyes finally met Ranboo's red and green ones. They were red rimmed and glassy, and Ranboo momentarily held back from engulfing the younger in a bear hug.
Ranboo looked down at the flowers that had been placed into his lap. There were two different kinds, two of each type. One flower was yellow and silky, its petals extending outwards into a short tube. The other flower was long and had green, trumpet-shaped tube petals. Tommy named them both.
"The yellow ones are freesias," he murmured, "and the green ones are bells of Ireland."
Ranboo quickly took his memory book out of his pocket and jotted down what he remembered before slipping it back into his pocket. He wrapped his long arms around the blonde boy, who leaned in and refrained from sobbing, before pulling away. Their eyes met a final time, exchanging words they could not say.
After a moment of silence, they both stood and Tommy approached Techno. He, too, began to press flowers into Techno's now opened palm. Instead of receiving two flowers, the piglin received three yellow flowers that were all different.
One was on a small branch, a cluster of small, bright yellow flowers branching outwards. Another was one bigger flower that was ruffled and soft. The last flower was corn-shaped with a bunch of smaller, trumpet shaped petals.
"What?" Techno raised an eyebrow as he made eye contact with the boy who only chuckled. Tommy sighed and looked between Ranboo and his supposed older brother before smiling grimly.
"Take care of your new younger brother."
Before anyone could speak, Tommy saluted and ran off blindly into the flurry.

That night, Techno searched through all of the books he owned, searching for some answer of what the flowers meant. He finally stopped on a rough, green cased book. The fancy lettered cover read Floriography. The piglin sighed and sat down at his desk, all three flowers splayed out. It only took him ten minutes or so to skim through the books and find the flowers.

The first bunch of flowers that were on a small branch were called Acacia flowers. Those meant "friendship" and "beauty in retirement."
"Tommy, I'm in retirement now," the piglin grunted, raising an eyebrow at the frail teen.
"I know!" he whined, "I just need you to help me, just this once! Please!"
After what felt like hours of pleading, Techno finally caved with a smile.
"Fine, you gremlin. You're lucky I've been gathering supplies."
"I thought you were retired?" he poked with an infectious smile.
Techno simply shoved him playfully and they both erupted into laughter.

The second bigger and ruffled flower were yellow Carnations. Those meant "disappointment" and "rejection."
"You want to be a hero, Tommy? That's fine. You want to be a hero? Then die like one!"
"He doesn't even have any shoes!"
"You saw me as a weapon."
"Good luck against Dream."

The last trumpet-bundled flowers were yellow Hyacinths. Those meant "jealousy."
"Ranboo, we're best friends!" the hybrid whooped.
"Come on, Ranboo, it's not safe here," Phil wrapped a wing around the enderman and led the taller boy away from the crater of a nation.
"Take care of your new younger brother."

Techno slammed his fist onto his desk, hands shaking.
At once, a tall enderman was in front of him, green and red eyes wide in worry. They quickly melted into realization, seeing the flowers and the book nearby.
Ranboo wrapped his arms around the older and sighed.

For the first time in years, the Blood God wept.
