Part 1 || school

Y/N's POV

Oh god oh god oh god oh god I'm late! I sprang up from my bed and rushed to the bathroom to get ready. Let me tell you about myself, I'm Sim Y/N and I have an older brother named Sim Jake. A real dork if you ask me but it's whatever he loves me and I love him too. He protects me even if we get on each other's nerves and same goes for me. Protects me from what you may ask? Well my mom... in my family the women are expected to have very high achievements. Every single one ever since my great great great great great great great great great grandma and every woman after her have accomplished great things, so it has become a tradition for every woman in the family to be high achievers. It was no problem for my mom she was naturally smart but me? I had to study extra hard to meet their standards. My dad is always at work but I'm really close to him, it's just unfortunate that I don't get to see him often. My mom on the other hand watches my grades like a hawk. If 1 subject goes down by a 0.01% she makes me study double hard. I could either maintain my high grades or make them higher. If I would get low I'd get hit by my mom. My brother, Jake, would often come and try to convince my mom that I have my limitations but my mom just won't listen. It was ok for my mom if Jake failed, as long as he didn't have to repeat a grade he can do whatever he wants. Unfair right? But I don't envy him since he protects me and I only ever felt love by him and my friends

Jake: "y/n! Hurry up we'll be late for school!"

Y/N: "coming!!" I shouted slipping on my shoes then running down the stairs

Jake: "yah! What took you so long?! My friends have been waiting for me!"

Y/N: "sorry! I woke up late! I was so tired from studying last night... you know how mom is" Jake sighed knowing what I meant

Jake: "will you ever stand up to mom?"

Y/N: "I did try to one time but..." I trailed off

Jake: "but what?"

Y/N: "that was the first time mom... punched me" Jake widened his eyes at what I said

Jake: "mom punched you?! How come I don't know about this?!" I smiled seeing how concerned he was for me

Y/N: "I didn't want to tell you because you're always there to protect me"

Jake: "aishhh y/n! You gotta tell me these things" he said as we slowly entered the school gate

Y/N: "I will oppa next-"

Sunghoon: "hey bro" I was cut off by Jake's best friend in the whole wide world, Park Sunghoon. "Oh hey y/n what's up? How's... you know?" *sigh* yes Sunghoon oppa knows what happens at home. Heck he's seen it. One time I came home later than usual because I had to teach a friend and my mom hit me and I didn't realize Sunghoon was there.

Y/N: "still the same you know" he opened his arms for a hug and I gladly accepted it. I needed this. He was like a brother to me. I'd say he was my guy bestfriend (lol I simp for Sunghoon also HABSHABBSA lmk if u want me to make a ff abt him -A/N)

Jay: "hey guys!" We broke the hug and I saw the rest of my brothers friends. I enjoyed their company except for one of them. He's the reason why I get hit by my mom

Heeseung: "y/n"

Y/N: "Heeseung" we both glared at each other and I walked away to meet with my friend

Jake's POV

Jake: "you and my sister never get along"

Heeseung: "whatever... and anyway she's my number 1 competitor" I rolled my eyes. They're always competing for the best grades. Heeseung is always top 1 in our class while my sister is second. He's a rich and sometimes spoiled kid. As long as he gets good grades his parents won't interfere with anything he does. That is only if he is in any place in the top 3. He just chooses to be number 1 since he just wants to.

Sunoo: "you know you should give her a chance she's actually really fun" I saw him rolling his eyes and walking away

Niki: "hyung's being moody again" we chuckled not enough for Heeseung to hear though

Y/N's POV

Y/N: "Yeji what am I gonna do?! I'm so scared! We're getting our tests back today! What if I failed? I don't wanna-"

Yeji: "calm down ok? You're gonna be fine" I gave her a sad smile and she turned back to the board since she was sitting in front of me. She also knows what happens at home... she was like a sister I never had. While I was lost in my thoughts some scumbag sat beside me a.k.a my partner. We both stared glaring at each other

Y/N: "I'm gonna crush you so hard"

Heeseung: "try me" he snickered and I curled my lip up in annoyance and the teacher came in.

Teacher: "ok class settle down I'll be returning your papers so please stand up once your name is called" my heart beat started beating faster and sweat was dripping down from my forehead.

Jake: "y/n calm down. If you don't get the score you want I'll help you out with mom" Jake said as he was sitting to my left. I smiled knowing someone has my back.

The teacher called names and the students all gave different reactions. Slowly but surely my name was called

Teacher: "Sim Y/n" I stood up and took my paper I didn't check my score since me and Heeseung always check it at the same time. It's kind of our unspoken rule even if we're enemies.

Teacher: "and lastly Lee Heeseung" he smirked and stood up getting his paper. He sat back down making eye contact with me. We both turned our paper at the same time and my heart beater faster than before and my head started spinning. I got a 95%... I slumped down on my chair while I heard Heeseung cheer

Heeseung: "98% baby! WOHOO!!" He turned to me with the biggest smile on his face but also an evil one. "ooooh~ yikes 95%? Looks like I beat you here loser" I couldn't respond at all.

Y/N: "whatever this is just a small quiz I'll get you back!" I smirked at him

Heeseung: "yeah sure you will" he said sarcastically while facing forward again. The teacher started going on about the lesson but I just couldn't concentrate. Moms gonna kill me!
