Everyone made their way towards the lab to examine the damage that had been done. I was still in shock. One second everything was okay and then all of a sudden we are fighting our own creation and his bots. Is this what it was like to be an Avenger?
"All our work is gone," says Banner
"Ultron cleared out. He used the Internet as his escape hatch," I say while examining the messy lab
"Ultron," says Steve, clearly disappointed
"He got into everything. Files, Survalience," says Nat with her arms crossed leaning on the desk
"He probably knows more about us than we know about each other," I say while looking up at everyone.
"He's in your files. He's in the Internet. What if he decides to access something a little more exciting?" asks Rhodes
"Nuclear codes," I say with hesitation
"Look we need to make some calls. Assuming we still can" Rhodes continues
"Nukes? He said he wanted us dead," Nat adds
"He didn't say 'Dead'. He said 'Extinct'" mentions Steve
"He also said he killed somebody," Clint says
"There wasn't anyone else in the building" Maria states
"Yes, there was," Tony says, finally speaking up
With a quick movement, Tony pulls up what once was J.A.R.V.I.S. He was destroyed. Everyone gathers around and immediately looks sympathetic. J.A.R.V.I.S wasn't just some artificial intelligence system. He became a friend to us all.
"Oh-no. J.A.R.V.I.S." I say while walking up and resting a hand on Tony's shoulder
"What? This is insane," says Banner in a confused tone
"J.A.R.V.I.S was the first line of defence. He would have shut Ultron down. It makes sense." Steve says with his head bowed
"No. Ultron could have assimilated J.A.R.V.I.S. This isn't strategy, This is rage," I say while examining the shattered system.
Thor enters the room in a rage. He is fully dressed in his traditional combat garments, holding his hammer in his hand. He immediately approached Tony and wraps his hand around Tony's neck.
"Woah, Woah, Woah," says Steve, rushing to stop Thor
"Guess the rage is going around" Clint adds
"Come on, use your words, buddy," Tony says while being held up in the air by Thor, basically gasping for air.
"I have more than enough words to describe you, Stark," Thor says in anger
"Thor, The legionnaire," Steve says, reminding Thor to update us
Thor releases Tony from his grasp and Tony backs up to take some deep breaths.
"Trail went cold about 100 miles out, but it's headed North. It also has the sceptre. Now we have to retrieve it, again." Thor says, clearly still angry.
"Genie's out of that bottle. Clear and present is Ultron." Nat adds
"I don't understand" Helen adds from the corner of the room.
She was examining the remains of one of the bots in confusion.
"You build this program. Why is it trying to kill us?" Helen continues looking at Tony
Tony begins to laugh. I could feel Thor's anger from where I was standing. I could feel everyone's anger for that matter.
"Mmm-Mmm" Banner says to Tony while shaking his head back and forth
