Part Two

Emma's eyes flickered open as she groaned at the pounding in her head. She rubbed her forehead while sitting up slightly, her sight trying to adjust to the dark.

"Better now?" The man's voice spoke up.

"Can you turn on the lights? Please?"

She blinked rapidly once the lights powered up revealing a small cramped room with wires handing from the ceiling. Emma moved her legs to hang over the side of the bunk and slowly stood to face the black haired man. "Hi, again." She smiled slightly, flinching when her wounded palm hit the top of the bunk which she used as support to stand.

"Hello." He smirked, revealing dimples that she hadn't noticed earlier.

She cleared her throat and took a step forwards so she could see more of the room. "Who are you?" Emma asked him bluntly, wrapping her arms around her waist as she eyed him hesitantly.

"Captain Jack Harkness, One Three Three Squadron, Royal Air Force. American volunteer." Jack grinned handing her an ID card.

Emma cocked an eyebrow when she read what was on the card. "This is psychic paper, Captain Harkness."

His smile slipped a little, he leaned closer to the woman staying seated in his chair. "How do you know?"

"Well," Emma drawled her accent coming out thicker than usual as she attempted to show some semblance of confidence, "My, um, friend. He uses his all the time." She glanced down at the ID tapping it against her other palm. With the Doctor's psychic paper she normally didn't see anything. "You just handed me a piece of paper telling me that you're single and work out." She chuckled handing it back.

"Tricky thing, psychic paper." He clicked his tongue his smirk coming back full force when he read the ID.

"Yeah," She snorted softly, relaxing slightly but still on guard. "Can't let your mind wander when you're handing it over."

"Oh, so you're single and looking for a relationship."

"W-what?" Emma stuttered, completely baffled.

"Actually it says you're available."

"What-No-I..." She ran a hand through her hair flustered. Her confident front all but gone as he teased her.

"And another one..." One of his eyebrows raised as he glanced down at the card then back up her, "Very."

"It does not say that." She huffed watching him slip the ID into his jacket pocket.

"It does." He laughed.

"Let's please forget that, yeah?"

He shrugged but nodded not before sending her a wink, "All forgotten,"

Emma narrowed his eyes at him playfully before laughing at her own embarrassment. "You've got a nice spaceship." She told him as she assessed her surroundings more thoroughly.

"Gets me around." He quipped, his gaze following her as she walked around.

Emma huffed out a chuckle as a thought popped into her head, "Very Spock." She joked.

"Who?"

She opened her mouth to explain before shutting it with a shake of her head. There was no way she was going down the Star Trek hole with someone who knew nothing of it. "Never mind. Not a local boy, then?" Emma climbed up onto a box so she could investigate further.
