Third pov
When the dust settles everyone is looking around.
Heroes, civilians, former akumas....
The whole world is quiet.
If you ask the people that was there, they'll tell you it was a deafening roar and bright, blinding light before the world seemed to turn dark for a second as their minds worked to catch up to what had just happened. The akumatized people had stopped, shuddered and turned back into their original selves.
Some people would say that the light had two colors. Some three.
Always green and red in every answer.
The JLA helped the Miraculous team with getting civilians out of the way of the destruction and unstable buildings.
The ones closest to the Agreste home was on the scene already when the light died down.
The house is still standing but the secret rooms are not. The windows are completely blown out along with everything that had been inside except for the three figures inside.
Wonder Woman and Robin watches in awe and worry.
The head of one of the figures turn to them and they know who it is.
Marinette.
But, still not. Not entierly.
Her eyes are glowing a soft red, her hair is barely outlined and the mask that had made her Ladybug seems to have fused with her. The outline of it is glowing in the same light as her eyes.
Then it's gone.
The light disappears and the figures are on the floor.
"Robin, check your friends."
Robin doesn't bother arguing and is immidietly on his way to check the two teens.
They both look alright, the most being a few bruises and scrapes and an almost malnourished appearance.
Both they're both breathing and Robin counts that as a win.
"Dami." Marinette's voice is thin, barely there and Damian realizes that both heroes are looking at him. "We won."
"We won." Adrien repeats, voice just as thin. He laughs, but it comes out more like a coughing.
Robin takes a step back, letting them have the moment. Because despite everything, despite the destruction, the deaths and the pain.
They won.
He looks to Wonder Woman where she's looking over Gabriel Agreste, she sees him looking and shakes her head.
And it looks like Hawkmoth will terrorize Paris no more.
Well, this is the end of book 1.
It's been an incredible journey and i love all of you so much. You've made writing this an amazing time.
I will make a final update once I've published book 2.
