70: This Shouldn't Be A Surprise

•Akaza

No matter how I play it out, I can't see Uzui being anything more than an older brother figure to (Y/n), and I also imagine he'd be committed to his three lovely wives.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: I personally don't like any of the KnY girls. Maybe Nezuko? But she didn't really have a personality developed. "She is kind yet strict." Yes well a lot of women are like that already.

This is just me being biased though since I guess personally, the KnY girls are just not my type.

Not only that, but for the same reason I didn't add Zenitsu or Nezuko; I really like Mitsuri and Obanai together. So I just felt guilty if I make Obanai, Mitsuri, Zenitsu, and/or Nezuko as a love interest.

And for a good while, I felt like I NEEDED to include a girl? I don't know why but I realized I don't have to do anything I don't want to.

Not only that, but Kanao and (Y/n) don't have good chemistry at all so it makes no sense to make her as a love interest. And Aoi is too scared of (Y/n) as well, so that wouldn't have been healthy.

I'm sorry if I didn't add a character you like but please understand my reasoning.

"I love you," Akaza tells you.

Akaza holds his breath, waiting for your response. Though, he already knows what you might say.

You finally reply after a few moments: "You don't love me. You can't."

"Why?"

"You just can't. You've known me for what, a month? Whatever you think you feel for me, it isn't love."

You stand up and fumble with the human's-you said his name was Akira-hand guard to get it to stay under your belt.

Akaza gets up and rushes to you when you start walking. An impulsive thought invades Akaza's head as he takes your hand.

"(Y/n), I love you," Akaza stands close to you to feel your warmth, "Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow..."

You tense up, and Akaza knows what he's going to do is reckless. But this is something Akaza has thought about for a while. Admittedly, doing it now was an impulsive decision.

"As difficult as it was for you when I was cruel to you at first, I will give you that much and so much more." Akaza sinks down to his knees, his hand still holding yours, "I will care for you, and love you."

You turn around to face him: "Akaza-"

"-I love you, (Y/n). I will love you forever."

Akaza looks up at you. He knew he was going to cry, and his face felt warm from promising you his life like this. He can't help it though, he wants to spend his life with you, for as long as you'll be around.

Akaza can feel the tears escape him. In his embarrassment, he pulls you forward and hugs you waist to hide his face against your stomach.

"Don't. Go." He pleads weakly.

"Akaza. Don't make this harder than it needs to be."

No... No, please! You can't be rejecting his proposal, can you?
