Ch. 69 "Close"

                                                      Hayden POV 

It has been two days since I got the surgery done on my shoulder, right now I'm sitting on the couch with my arm in a sling an ice pack on it, 

My feet on the table as they are crossed, watching senseless television, Pietro is keeping me company at the moment, 

He picked out a movie, a horror movie to be exact, Saw I thing it was called, he had the popcorn in between us, 

"I don't get the plot of this," I said as I stuffed some of the popcorn in my mouth, 

"What's not to get, it's a serial killer who sets up traps that you have to get yourself out of or you lose a limb or your life," He said 

"But it's so unrealistic," I said 

"Just enjoy the movie, something tells me you never really watched movies," He said 

"Not at all," I said 

I went to get up,

"Where you going princess?" He asked 

"To get a drink," I said 

"On it," He said 

That fast he was in front of me with a cherry coke,

 I chuckled, 

"I keep forgetting how fast you are," I said 

"Don't forget it princess," He said winking at me, 

I chuckled 

I took a sip, then sighed 

"What is it?" He asked taking the drink from me setting it on the table 

"Do you think... do you think I'll ever shook a bow again?" I said touching my shoulder, 

"Listen princess you've got the strongest will I've ever seen, and there is no doubt in my mind that you will shoot a bow again," He said smiling at me, 

I smiled back at him, 

                                       Clint POV 

I stood in the door way of the living room watching Hayden and Pietro, 

Oh no, no, no, no, I do not like where this is going, I do not like how he is looking at her, maybe it's the father in me but I am not liking it, 

I crossed my arms glaring at him, sure he couldn't see me, so I was basically glaring a hole in the back of his head, 

"Relax Clint they are just friends, besides she's only thirteen remember," Nat said patting me on the back, 

"Right, sorry, it's just-" I began 

"Yeah, I know oh and by the way congrats on adopting her," Nat said 

"Thanks," I said 

"Tony wanted to throw a party but, I told him she needed rest first," She said 

"Good call," I said 

I cleared my throat, walking over to Hayden, 

"Hey, Bruce wants to take a look at how it's healing," I said walking over to her smiling 

She nodded getting up and following me out,
