You arrive at the ball, your dress intricately designed, your hair perfect, and your mind focused on one thing: finding yourself a husband.

Being the younger sister of a lord, you didn't exactly have much choice in the matter. Although you might prefer to study art or academia and go to college or university as your brother had, you did not find these were options available to you. At least if you were quick to look for a husband then you might at least find a decent one.

Although, as you look around, you do not exactly see anyone that you deem to be decent. There are many old men, who look as though they may quite possibly die before you finish a conversation with them. They look dull and boring and tiresome and you can tell such simply from the way they look, you do not need to approach them further to tell that.

The ballroom is full and yet it takes you a proper look to find anyone that you should like to spend your time even bothering to talk to.
