We ended up talking about anything and everything. There were some moments of silence, but it was anything but uncomfortable. "Hey (y/n)?" I looked up at him. "Yeah sapphires?" He rubbed the back of his neck. "Umm I was just wondering..." he trailed off. "Sapphires you don't have to be nervous. Just ask away." I smiled up at him. He nodded. "I was wondering what happened to your parents." I sighed.

"I mean since we're friends you deserve to know right!" He stared at and gave me a soft smile. "First off, I never met my dad. It was always just my mom and I. My mom was a witch and she taught me most of what I know!" I smiled thinking about how much she's showed me. "When I was really little a demon took possession over my body. My mother was able to banish the demon from my body, but that didn't stop the demon. He took possession of someone in my old village. He told everyone in the village that there was a witch. That the witch was planning on destroying the village, and that she was raising a kid that wasn't her own to follow in her footsteps. The entire village broke into our home. They destroyed everything."

I paused tearing up a little bit. Varian held my hands silently telling me that it's okay. "They bound my mom and I. We spent weeks in a jail cell away from each other because the village was convinced that I'd find a way to break both of us out if we were close to each other. The village decided what they wanted. The demon was still possessing the same host. He helped make the decision. One day I was dragged out of the cell and in front of a stage. On the stage was my mom. She was tied to a pole with wood all around her. Before I could do anything they started a fire under her. The last thing my mom said to me was to not let anything into my body. Protect myself. And never make deals with demons. My body is mine and only mine. I won't let anything into my body or anyone I love. After she was gone and the fire died out somehow I escaped. They put me in a cell again. They told me they were going to hang me the next morning. I woke up and I was in the meadow. I realized I was far away from my old village. And the rest is history." I wiped some tears from my eyes and looked down. "I'm really sorry for what happened. I'm always here if you need me. Even if I'm busy in the lab you're always welcome!" He said smiling softly at me and wiping a few of my tears away. "Thank you. That means the world to me." I smiled up at him.

I sighed. "The demon. It's still after me." I looked up at Varian. "The demon seems to be able to possess anything living. It took over the alpha wolf that first attacked me. Considering how wolves will follow their leaders, it doesn't surprise me that the other wolves followed after the demon." I paused and stood up opening a small chest.

I pulled out a small pendant. It was a silver pentagram. I handed it to Varian. "I made this for you." He took it carefully and examined it. "Is this pure silver?" He asked staring at it. I nodded. "You'll be surprised with how many valuable metals are in the mine shaft. This is to protect you from the demon. I have one too. They both have strong protection spells around them. It's the strongest spell I know." I showed him mine. "I know you don't believe in any of this, but I don't want anything bad to happen to you. You're the only person I have and I want to make sure you're protected." He put the pendant around his neck and tucked it into his shirt.

"Well if it means that much to you then I'll always wear it." He smiled at me. I hugged him softly. "I should get going. Thanks for having me over! Oh! I brought you some of the crops from Old Corona! My dad thought you'd be hungry out here." He smiled at me giving me a small back filled with fruits and vegetables. "Thank you! Tell your dad I say hi okay?" He nodded. "I should be heading out. Bye (y/n), bye Sunny. I'll see you next week!" With that he left. "Until next week." I smiled as I saw him leaving.

Sunny laid on my chest as sat on my bed. His purring calming me. "Sunny do you think that I should tell him about the dreams?" I asked petting behind his ears. He stared up at me with big green eyes. 'Need to know basis.' I head the voice in my head. It was calming and deep. "Need to know basis?" I asked Sunny. He closed his eyes and started kneeling on my chest. I closed my eyes and let myself relax into my bed.

Dream time:

"Psst...(y/n)." I opened my eyes and saw Demanitis standing over me. "Hello. Did I miss our monthly meeting?" I asked sitting up. He shook his head and laughed softly. "Of course not. I just have something I need you to see." I nodded and stood up from my bed. I looked down and saw my body still asleep on my bed. My eyes widened and my mouth opened to scream.

"Don't worry. You're still alive. This is called astral projecting. Now let me show you what you need to know." I closed my mouth slowly and followed him. He took my hand and suddenly we weren't inside my cabin. I looked around and saw a girl. She had extremely long golden hair. She was sleeping peacefully. "Have you ever heard of the lost princess?" Demanitis asked me. I nodded slowly staring down at her. "I believe there was a lullaby your mother used to sing to you. Why not share it?" I looked up at him before nodding.

"Flower gleam and glow, let your power shine. Make the clock reverse bring back what once was mine." I stared at the girl who could've have been older then 19. Her hair started glowing. "W-what's happening?!" I stared at Demanitis. "There's nothing to be afraid of. Your mother was the one who discovered the healing incantation. She and others helped me during my time where I was alive." I nodded trying to follow along. "What does this have to do with the lost princess?" I asked. My eyes suddenly went wide. "You don't mean? She's the lost princess?! She's alive?!" I asked staring down at her. He simply nodded. "I can't reveal where she is, but soon it will be her 18th birthday. She will then return to Corona." I nodded. "It seems like my time is up. I'll see you next month." With that he snapped his fingers.

My eyes shot open and I sat up in a cold sweat. 'The lost princess is alive.'
