Climbing out of the king sized bed, I yawn and I move to the bathroom. Already naked from, ahem* last night, I step into the shower and let hot water stream through my hair. A barely hear the glass door slide open through my sleepy haze, startling when someone grips my waist from behind.
I smile warmly at Alex, turning to kiss him gently.
"Hey. Did you sleep ok?"
"...no. I had the same dream."
"I'm sorry, Izu. Can I help somehow?"
I kiss him again and turn to grab some soap. "Your doing fine simply being here for me, love."
We wash our hair and bodies, cuddling a little before stepping out to dry and dress ourselves. I wear black ripped jeans and a green shirt, tight enough for my toned body to stand out against the fabric. I slip on a pair of black docs, waiting for Alex to finish dressing.
He chooses grey sweatpants and a blue long sleeve shirt, with blue and white vans. All my piercings are in, glinting black with my tattoo flashing up my arm. We walk down in comfortable silence. That doesn't last long, of course.
"Hey! GIVE ME BACK MY BAGEL!!" Yep, Jake puts the 'fun' in dysfunctional.
Creating wind going past us, Jake runs after Kira, who is laughing hysterically with a bagel in hand.
Sighing, we survey the area and step out into the huge living room, which is connected to a kitchen and dinning room. We moved into this new house a few weeks ago, by the way. So far, the house had been drenched with paintballs, half- destroyed by villains, and had about fifteen frat parties hosted in it. Yeah, it's been busy for sure.
On the upside, we've done a whole lot for this crappy neighborhood. There are more people milling around, less burglaries, less attempted rape, and much more. The five of us have also gotten some pretty good experience, so we might even be in the top 10 heros of America. It hasn't been tested, of course.
As the two crackheads run past me again, I grab the back of Jake's shirt, letting him fall on his ass.
"Dude, chill. Seriously, just get another bagel." I walk past him, ignoring a sarcastic grumble from behind me.
Kira also stops, sitting in front of her food and catching her breath. Smirking at Jake's pout, she tears the bagel in half and gives half to Tessa, who happily accepts. Jeez, sadistic much?
"Kira, you're so mean..."
Alex comes to sit on my lap, taking a piece of toast. We eat leisurely, as we have an hour before school. Well, school started four hours ago, but we only need to be there for a test in our science class.
Soon enough, we walk through a portal just in time fore the bell to ring. We walk to our seats at the back of the classroom, snickering at surprised gasps and flinches when we walk past the desks.
"Alright, everyone's here. Once you finish the test, give it to me and do whatever the hell you want. Don't talk to me for the remainder of class."
The class goes silent, and even my group focuses on our test.
I finish first, setting it on my teacher's desk and walking over to the windowsill. I open it all the way, taking up a relaxed sitting position in it. Time flies as I stare at passerbys outside of school grounds, and soon enough I feel a tap on my shoulder.
"Psst. Let's go, grumpy."
"I'm not grumpy, Jake. I'm just tired."
"Yeah, right, let's just go."
I hop down and motion for Tessa to teleport us, but an unfortunately familiar voice gathers our attention.
"Oi, brats. C'mere."
"Old hag. What your problem, always being so mean. It makes my day worse just looking at you."
"Heh. Same goes for you, delinquent. I need to talk to you all, as much as I hate it."
I sigh, signaling my friends to follow me, trailing behind the disgruntled principal. Once we settle down in her small office, she starts talking in the usual bored tone.
"As you know, and as much as I hate to admit it, you're all the most powerful in this school, maybe more powerful than most pros. What do people call you? The Five Crows? Anyway, you'll be attending a school in Japan for a month starting next week, to help train the students there. Any problems?"
"Where?"
"UA, in Musutafu."
"What?! Why did you choose those assholes?!" Tessa yells, and Alex tries to join in.
"No way! We aren't- "
"Guys, enough." I say, silencing the oncoming argument. "It's fine. I'm over them, and I can kick their asses anyway. Besides, this could benefit us, too."
"If you say so, Izu. But I'll kill them if they so much as look at you the wrong way!"
"Fine, fine. How about you guys?"
"Sounds good to me." Kira states, a nod following from Tessa.
"So what are the details?" I raise an eyebrow at the shrunken woman.
"Two days from now, and you'll be staying at the teacher dorms. You'll be training them in whatever way you want, but I expect them to be in one piece and improved by the end of it. Don't make extra work for me, you brats!"
"Well, I can't promise they'll be in one piece..."
She sighs while Tessa and Kira chuckle sadistically.
"And I have two problems! One, why the hell didn't you tell us earlier, you asshole! Two, can we go? You didn't need to call us all the way here for that."
"Shut up and stop complaining. I only got notified two weeks ago!"
"Two weeks ago?!" Jake shouts, glaring at her wholeheartedly.
"Oh, you know silly old me. Always forgetting something, hehe." She fake swoons in her chair, and I roll my eyes while turning to leave.
"We'll be there, Teach. Please die while we're gone."
"Yeah yeah, well you'd better kick some villain ass before you kick the bucket, kid."
"Hn."
"Bye Teach!"
"See ya, lazy."
"Bye!"
And just like that, we're on our way to Jake's place. Like usual.
