Phoenix Haynes

I opened the front door, noticing Morgan playing on the floor while Pepper and Tony discussed what we'd just spoken about.

"I'm back!" I exclaimed, and Morgan walked as quickly as she could over to me, and I scooped her up in my arms, kissing all over her face.

"I missed you so much!" I said happily, making Morgan wrap her arms around my neck, hugging me tightly.

"You were gone for two minutes." Pepper said, smiling at me while I laughed.

"Yeah, two minutes too long." I said, and Tony smiled softly at me, despite being stressed.

"Staying for dinner?" Tony asked, making me nod.

"Absolutely."

"I'm glad." He said, and Pepper pulled me in for a loose hug, making sure not to suffocate Morgan.

"Thankyou, it means a lot to Tony that you stayed." She whispered in my ear, and I smiled at her.

"Anytime, besides, this is my happy place." I admitted, making Pepper laugh a little.

"You're always welcome here."

"I know, thankyou." I responded, and I put Morgan down, walking over to Tony.

"You feeling alright?" I asked, making him shrug.

"As good as I can be."

"I'm sorry for dropping it on you, I should have given you some notice." I said, but Tony shook his head.

"It's not that."

"It's not?" I asked, sharing a confused look with Pep.

"Then what is it?"

"I can't help but feel like it's possible." Tony admitted, and I placed a hand on his shoulder comfortingly.

"Why don't you put a pin in it for now, and we can play some board games or something?" I suggested, and Tony nodded.

"Yeah, that sounds good."

"Monopoly?" Pep suggested, and I looked down at Morgan.

"Wanna be in my team, buttercup?" I asked, making her nod excitedly, despite not knowing how to play the game.

"Yeah!"
