“Selena! Come back here!! Selena!!” As usual. My mom is on her tantrums. How many times do I have to tell her that I can manage myself?! Of course kung yung ibang sunod-sunuran na anak yan playing the "good daughter" never gagawin na mag walk out in front of their parents but i'm different.
I'm Selena Pae Samaniego. Maganda, mayaman. Name it, it's on me.
“Selena! Pag hindi ka bumalik dito swear, you’ll be grounded for the rest of your life!” But that words makes me stop. Shit.
"My god, Selena! Don't you dare walk out like that again! Napaka-stubborn mo! I suppose you're old enough to know all your limitations at lahat ng bagay na gagawin mo! Nalaman ko na halos umaga ka ng umuwi yesterday! Where have you been?!" Galit na tanong ni mom sakin. Pag sinabi ko ba sa kanya, will she stop? Maybe not.
“That's right. Sayo na mismo nanggaling mom, i'm old enough. Nasa bar lang ako kahapon." I answer her in my most deadpan look. Seriously, nakakasawa yung ganito. They're rulling my life. Not because anak nila ko, kailangan na nila kong pasunurin sa lahat. Cause no, I will not going to follow everything they want cause i'm going to do what I want and what I think I deserve!
“Shut up. Ang sakit mo sa ulo. Pasalamat ka at wala dito ang daddy mo.”
“Yeah right. Thanks. Whatever.”
“Goodness Selena! Ewan ko na sayo! Kaya naman, I’ve made up my mind, you’ll be staying at the Philippines. Dun ka na mag-aaral!” Literal na napa-nganga ako sa sinabi niya. She just can't say that as if it's nothing! She can't do that, no!
“Seriously mom?! Ayoko! Ayoko dun. Mom naman!! Quit joking.” Is she for real? Damn.
“I’m not joking Selena. You’ll be staying there. Dun ka na mag-aaral.”
“But mo—“
“No buts, dear. It’s final. Pack your things. You’ll be having your flight the day after tomorrow.” Shit, shit. She’s impossible! Paano na yung social life ko?! Nandito sa Cali ang buhay ko. Nandito lahat ng gusto ko and hell no this is not happening!!
I go to my room and call dad. Siya na lang ang pag-asa ko to stop mom kung ano man ang binabalak niya.
